At the top of the show tonight, Cass Dalglish will chat with me on the theme of Inanna and Humming the Blues - Women Have Been Writing Their Stories for More Than 4000 Years.  We'll discuss Enheduanna, the female Sumerian writer from ancient times and her association with the Goddess, Inanna.  Learn why both are so important.   Cass is a fiction writer and prose poet who has worked in broadcast journalism.  She was the invited speaker during the museum session of a conference entitled Inanna - Live at the British Museum in 2007. Prof. Anne Key will follow in the second half of the show, sharing her scholarship and insight on what I believe are little understood Aztec Goddesses and the Ritual Calendar, particularly as it relates to women.

Sacred Salon start each month with a report from Flash Silvermoon telling us what the Cosmos has cooked up for us in the coming weeks.  Then we begin our Ritual on the Radio.  Karen and Sam team up and present a monthly Sacred Salon.  Tonight's theme is Pruning Your Divine Tree - in other words, taking a look at what no longer works in your life and pruning it away.  Maybe it's toxic people, bad habits, or phobias.  Tune in and learn more ways Goddess Inspired Living can enrich your life! 

Scholar Rosemary Radford Ruether, author of Gaia and God and Ecofeminism: Globilization and World Religions will discuss EcoFeminism.  We'll chat about  the relationship between ecology and feminism, ecology and theology in religions such as Islam, Judaism and Buddhism.  If you ever wondered how the idea of ecofeminism developed, Rosemary will give us insight.  In the second half of the show, Caroline Shearer, founder of Absolute Love Publishing, whose mission is to create and publish projects promoting goodness in the world, will discuss a topic familiar to readers - Women Will Save the World.  Caroline is also the author of Dead End Date, Love like God: Embracing Unconditional Love, Raise Your Vibration: Tips and Tools for High-Frequency Life.

In the second half of the show, Michael Weber, Program diector of Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) will give us some insights into Which Animals are Friends and Which Are Food and Why?    

At the top of the show, Joan Marler, Founder and Executive Director of the Institute of Archaeomythology will discuss Gorgons, a class she teaches at CIIS, SFO. Following Joan, we have with us the controversial Lierre Keith, writer, small farmer and radical feminist activist.  She is the author of The Vegetarian Myth: Food, Justice and Sustainability which has been called "the most important ecological book of this generation."  She's is also the co-author with Derrick Jensen and Aric McBay,of Deep Green Resistance: Strategy to Save the Planet.  Lierre believes to save the planet, we need a serious resistance movement that can bring down the industrial economy.

First up on tonight's show is NY Times bestselling author of 20 books, Author of The Medicine Woman Series, LYNN ANDREWS, discussing her new book, Coming Full Circle - Ancient Teachings for a Modern World. Followed by scholar Amy Levin, contributor to The Revealer; A Daily Review of Religion and Media who is a practicising feminist discussing  contemporary religious movements in the US and the intersection of liberal religion and feminist theology, with an eye toward Kabbalah, and the Shekinah.

First up tonight is Amy Logan, author of the new book, The Seven Perfumes of Sacrifice, a thriller about the search for the origins of honor killing and the Divine Feminine in the Arab world.  In doing research for this fiction book, Amy discovers a lot about women's issues and Goddess within Arab culture she shares with listeners. Next is William Kennedy discussing The White Goddess, Robert Graves, Maria Gimbutas, the Aryan invasion and the Goddess worship of the Celts.  We get a little side-tracked with politics, but it's all fun and interesting!

At the top of the hour tonight, join me to hear Shaeri Richards, author of Dancing With Your Dragon: The Art of Loving Your Unlovable Self teach us how to reclaim our personal power through the practice of unconditional love.  Shaeri tells us how to use our Magic Mirror for self-growth and development. In a similar spirit, we will continue our topic of self-healing and development as Aleya Dao, master sound and energy healer teaches us how with her powerful music and sound, in alignment with the Sacred Feminine, helps us meditate and heal our deepest wounds.

At the top of the hour we have Fr. Paul Smith, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church discussing his book Is It Okay to Call God "Mother" - Considering the Feminine Face of God.  Paul Smith challenges the church to biblical fidelity and justice in its worship language.  We'll also ask him to discuss the chapter in his book his publisher made him leave out of his most recent book, Integral Christianity-The Spirit's Call to Evolve, entitled "Leading Change and Causing Trouble" Wrapping up the show tonight is Sera Beak, The New York Times called her one of the new “role models” for her generation.  She’s the author of The Red Book: A Deliciously Unorthodox Approach to Igniting Your Divine Spark and the forthcoming book, Red Hot and Holy: A Heretic’s Love Story.  NOTE:  Sophia banner below is the work of noted scholar and artist Lydia Ruyle.

Also with us tonight, prolific author and scholar Diane Wolkstein has chosen the show topic:  Inanna, Spiritual Warrior, Approaching the God of Wisdom.  We;'ll delve into Inanna's myth, deciphering Sumerian cuneiform tablets of Inanna's texts, telling Inanna to Joseph Campbell and how to wrest wisdom from our elders.  Diane will read some of the text of "who will plow my volva?" with appropriate context in the Inanna myth as well as the underlying message of Inanna which is compassion.

At the top of the show, Layne Redmond, author and drummer extraordinaire returns to the show to discuss her work, including her non-profit to archive all her slides of ancient frame drummers and her hope to create an online virtual museum of this work.  We'll talk about her desire to preserve women's history and make it available to women the world over.
