This week, click Stevie talks about her crack dealing habits. I talk about the Disney Half-Marathon and the inaugural Tower of Terror 10-Miler coming up in September. We also have a race report about the Goofy Challenge, a first race report from Todd, a question about pedicures, and other messages from listeners.

This week, we primarily focus on the New York Marathon that I ran last weekend. It’s a truly great racing experience through an amazing city. It’s actually an experience that is difficult to describe. We also talk about Stevie’s return to running after a while off and a zombie running app that Stevie found.
This week, physician Stevie and I are joined by our friend Hannah, and who ran the very first Run For Your Lives event last week. Run For Your Lives is a 5K run, with the kinds of obstacles in Warrior Dash (tunnels, mud pits, etc…), PLUS zombies who try to grab the three flags around your belt that indicate your lives. We also talk about my last long run before the New York Marathon, which I broke into several segments to make it more interesting. Also in the show: how to deal with post-marathon blues and Stevie being too busy to run.
Stevie and I talk about different kinds of endurance events for those who may be looking for a change from just running. Examples include Zombie races, advice urbanathalons, nurse triathlons, cialis costumed runs, naked runs, ultra races, relays, and being a pacer for someone else. We also talk about the THON 5K, shoe blindness (from my new Newtons), and a bunch of listener calls.
