Two Gomers Podcast
Summary: The Two Gomers Podcast is a long-running podcast chronicling the adventures of two regular guys and their quest to chase - and embrace - healthy aging. Steven and Anthony, friends that have known each other since middle school have been podcasting together for almost 15 years, are facing mid-life with abandon. Each week they talk about a small move (or Baby Step) they've made toward health, press into a bigger issue they are trying to face with grace as they age, and finish by calling out What Gave Them Life that week. And of course, a ton of fun stuff along the way. The Two Gomers Podcast premiered on Sept 10, 2008 and the show has been going strong for 15 years, 13 very full seasons, a spin-off (Perfect Movie) and the Bonus Disc, their Patreon feed. They have trained for and run 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, full marathons, and triathlons in their endeavor to become healthier and fully embrace life. And one thing has remained the same: you're invited along for the ride.

We are a month away from our final weigh-in. It isn’t very fun for one of us, and it doesn’t bring joy to the other. Is this what getting to the end of a goal-year is like? Don’t forget to help us reach our Patreon goal by the end of…
We’re midway through our Fast Food Fast, and so we thought we’d share some things we like to eat instead. That’s it. That’s all this episode is about and we don’t go on any tangents we promise. Don’t forget to help us reach our Patreon goal by the end of…
Is the number goal weighing us down? We try to figure that out as 2020 nears its end and we near our breaking points. Happy stacking! Don’t forget to help us reach our Patreon goal by the end of the year: 150 Gomertrons! We’re hovering around 130 now, go to…
“This is gonna be a bad one.” – Anthony The guys try not to weigh in, but they do because them’s the rules. Neither is happy with the result, and have a conversation about that and how they feel about finishing the final quarter of a sucky year strong. Plus,…
Remember last episode of Lose 20 when we were laughing about “it’s only a matter of time before one of us crashes again?” Ha ha! That was so funny! Want to support the Gomers? Head to www.patreon.com/twogomers to support them at various levels and receive a ton of extra content…
In this special episode of Two Gomers Run For Their Lives, we present a (sometimes uncomfortable) conversation about race, identity, and growth with our lifelong friend, accomplished attorney, and city counsel member Chad Kemp (yes, that’s THE Chad). Hear the final half-hour of our chat, where Chad tells us about…
August was kinda rough – but there’s always another episode, always another chance to start over, and always another way to move forward! And the guys are doing just that. September has been a great month as they begin to look toward the end of the year, and the close…
The guys wrap up Water Weekdays August, preview the September Challenge (“Close Your Rings” every day, which means exercise 30 minutes and stand up once per waking hour), and weigh in. But all that is just the table-setting for a much deeper discussion about goals, motivation, and inner critics. Thanks…
We had a lot of thoughts about this cultural Zoom moment and how it was affecting our health so we went ahead and recorded this special ep, plus we talk about Steven’s hard boil egg machine. Happy listening, and happy hiding self view!
The guys catch each other up on how August’s Water Weekdays are going, and also talk about how hard it is to restart healthy eating habits after a month off the wagon. Good thing Tom Hanks challenged them to try.
Anthony and Steven talk about how July went. They weigh in and one of them is boring and the other is very edge-of-your-seat. They outline next month’s challenge: Water Weekdays. And Anthony has a special invitation. Happy Listening, and put down that Coke Zero, fool!
The guys are working hard on this month’s challenge: Run or Walk at least 2 miles a day, 6 days a week…but sometimes that’s hard, especially after one of your organs has burst. Steven shares five things that keep him motivated, and Anthony helps him figure out how far away…
The guys review their June challenge, which became something completely different than they thought it would. Plus, they weigh in and discover they’ve lost the same exact amount this month! And they present the July challenge: Run or Walk at least two miles per day, six days per week. Happy…
Last week Steven went into the ER and it was horrible, disgusting, frightening and eye-opening. The full account is on the Bonus Disc (www.patreon.com/twogomers) but because so many listeners were along for the ride, we wanted to give you an update, let you hear Steven’s voice, and also offer a…
This month’s challenge – limit social media – takes on a whole new flavor as June 2020 progresses. Also, Steven has a troubling health report, mostly because he has been ordered by his doctor to stop wearing tight clothes (that’s real). Happy Interacting in Real Life!
