Two Gomers Podcast
Summary: The Two Gomers Podcast is a long-running podcast chronicling the adventures of two regular guys and their quest to chase - and embrace - healthy aging. Steven and Anthony, friends that have known each other since middle school have been podcasting together for almost 15 years, are facing mid-life with abandon. Each week they talk about a small move (or Baby Step) they've made toward health, press into a bigger issue they are trying to face with grace as they age, and finish by calling out What Gave Them Life that week. And of course, a ton of fun stuff along the way. The Two Gomers Podcast premiered on Sept 10, 2008 and the show has been going strong for 15 years, 13 very full seasons, a spin-off (Perfect Movie) and the Bonus Disc, their Patreon feed. They have trained for and run 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, full marathons, and triathlons in their endeavor to become healthier and fully embrace life. And one thing has remained the same: you're invited along for the ride.

Hey, we’ve all been there – you’re doing fine and then urg: your stomach cramps up. Or your side splits. Is it something you ate? Is it your posture? Is it your dang attitude? We focus on that midsection and the seizing that so plagues it in this ep as we try to get to the bottom (or middle?) of this tricky block. Every once in a while we have an ep that goes DEEP. This is one of those! Anthony had a “flux capacitor-level” epiphany back late last year, and while we were able to share it with our patrons, we decided we needed to discuss it on the main feed. Also, the first ever BLOCK OFF. Here is the link to Steven’s sermon in June that featured the podcast! https://youtu.be/j9Ao-s19lRs?t=669 Check out all the links to all our stuff: linktr.ee/twogomers Subscribe to the Bonus Disc, our second podcast that comes out on the off-weeks of this one, at www.patreon.com/twogomers. New name! New look! New lease on life! Same great taste. As we move into the new iteration of the podcast, we talk about how one verb can change everything – from how we think about ourselves, to how we talk about who we are and what we do, to how we run. Train hard. Overcome blocks. Run the race. But when do you get back out there? What steps do you take to do so in a healthy way? What if you’re injured? What do you eat so your body recovers well? And how can you avoid using your recovery as an excuse not to run at all? All this and some big announcements about what’s coming for Two Gomers Podcasts – enjoy!
