Don't forget to stop by JapanesePod101.com for more great Japanese Language Learning Resources! -------Lesson Dialog------- ----Formal ---- まんじゅう と せんべい お菓子が好きな人、お待たせしました。今回、取り上げるのは日本の代表的な菓子「まんじゅう」と「せんべい」です。 まずは「まんじゅう」から。 小麦粉やそば粉などに水を加えて練ったものを「生地」あるいは「皮」とし、その中に、「あんこ」を入れて蒸したり焼いたりして作ります。「あんこ」とは小豆(あずき)を軟らかくなるまで煮て砂糖を混ぜたもの。豆の粒が残る「つぶあん」と、豆の皮を取り除いて滑らかになるまで潰した「こしあん」があります。 話を戻して、まんじゅうの起源は中国に求められますが、日本に伝来して以降、皮に黒砂糖やみそを混ぜて風味を変えたものや、あんも黒色の小豆を用いるだけでなく白小豆(しろあずき)で作る白あんを使うものなど、特色あるまんじゅうが生まれました。 次に、「せんべい」を紹介します。 これは、種々の穀物の粉を材料とする、薄くて平たい形の焼き菓子です。小麦粉や卵などから作るビスケットのように甘いせんべい、米を原料とし、しょう油味や塩味のせんべい、ジャガイモなどのでんぷんに魚や海老の乾燥品を混ぜたせんべい…。まんじゅう同様、様々な味や食感のせんべいがあります。 両者とも全国のスーパーやコンビニエンスストアなどで売られていますが、長く続く和菓子屋・せんべい屋ではこだわりの逸品を販売しています。 まんじゅうでもせんべいでも、そのおいしさを最大限に味わいたい人は、ぜひ熱い煎茶と一緒にどうぞ。煎茶は「日本茶」とも呼ばれますが、甘味と渋みのバランスが取れた黄緑色のお茶で、まんじゅうやせんべいとの相性は抜群ですよ。 ----Formal Vowelled---- まんじゅう と せんべい おかし が すきなひと、おまたせしました。こんかい、とりあげるのは にほん の だいひょうてきな かし「まんじゅう」と「せんべい」です。 まず は「まんじゅう」から。 こむぎこ や そばこ など に みずを くわえて ねったもの を「きじ」あるいは「かわ」とし、そのなかに、「あんこ」を いれて むしたり やいたり して つくります。「あんこ」とは あずき を やわらかくなるまで にて さとう を まぜたもの。まめのつぶ が のこる「つぶあん」と、まめのかわ を とりのぞいて なめらかに なるまで つぶした「こしあん」が あります。 はなし を もどして、まんじゅう の きげん は ちゅうごく に もとめられますが、にほん に でんらい して いこう、かわ に くろざとう や みそ を まぜて ふうみ を かえたもの や、あん も こくしょく の あずき を もちいるだけでなく しろあずきで つくる しろあん を つかうもの など、とくしょくある まんじゅう が うまれました。 つぎに、「せんべい」を しょうかいします。 これは、しゅしゅの こくもつ の こな を ざいりょう と する、うすくて ひらたい かたち の やきがし です。こむぎこ や たまごなど から つくる ビスケット の ように あまいせんべい、こめ を げんりょう とし、しょうゆあじ や しおあじ の せんべい、ジャガイモなど の でんぷん に さかな や えび の かんそうひん を まぜた せんべい…。まんじゅうどうよう、さまざまな あじ や しょっかん の せんべい が あります。 りょうしゃとも ぜんこく の スーパー や コンビニエンスストア などで うられていますが、ながく つづく わがしや・せんべいや では こだわりの いっぴん を はんばい しています。 まんじゅう でも せんべい でも、その おいしさ を さいだいげん に あじわいたいひとは、ぜひ あつい せんちゃ と いっしょ に どうぞ。せんちゃは 「にほんちゃ」とも よばれますが、あまみ と しぶみ の バランス が とれた きみどりいろ の おちゃで、まんじゅう や せんべい との あいしょう は ばつぐん ですよ。 ----Formal Romanization---- Manjū to Senbei O-kashi ga suki na hito, o-matase shimashita. Hanashi o modoshite, manjū no kigen wa Chūgoku ni motomeraremasu ga, Nihon ni denrai shite ikō, kawa ni kurozatō ya miso o mazete fūmi o kaeta mono ya, an mo kokushoku no azuki o mochiiru dake de naku shiroazuki de tsukuru shiroan o tsukau mono na do, tokushoku aru manjū ga umaremashita. Tsugi ni, "senbei" o shōkai shimasu. Kore wa, shushu no kokumotsu no kona o zairyō to suru, usukute hiratai katachi no yakigashi desu. Komugiko ya tamago nado kara tsukuru bisuketto no yōni amai senbei, kome o genryō to shi, shōyuaji ya shioaji no senbei, jagaimo nado no denpun ni sakana ya ebi no kansōhin o mazeta senbei.... Manjū dōyō, samazama na aji ya shokkun no senbei ga arimasu.
