Finally got around to my main winter project this year, updating the main RSA storage array. But thanks to backing up the contents to portable hard drives and then copying the stuff back, the directories in my "inbox" all have the same date. Usually I sort everything by date so that I have a good idea of whats dropping off the radar, but now I'll be flying blind for the next few months! Got RSA done this week while backing up my main storage array. I got to indulge my two favorite hobbies this weekend, messing around with hardware and producing RSA! This week its a balance between the harsh, and what is really one of my favourite "sub-genres" the semi-instrumental sort of acid-ish EBM. I don't know how to describe it exactly. But whatever you'd call it, I'd call it all great new music! The end of 2019 is upon us, and that means that I go through an entire year of our shows, listen to each one, and pick what I think are the best tracks of 2019. Usually I try to pare it down to ~10 songs, but this year that was just impossible. While I'll be releasing an extended version of this show during the membership drive (as a mix, without having to listen to me!) there were only 2 tracks from the original list that I could bear to part with. An interesting week as I waited for things to happen, that mostly didn't. But rather than take it as any sort of negative, I tried to learn something about how RSA is disseminated out to you. It actually turned out to be quite interesting. But accidental social experiments aside, this week we've got a tonne of great new stuff for everyone, on a show that has a fair bit of instrumental-ish dance music.
