So last week I took an impromptu vacation, just to get away from staring at the same monitor for damn near 12 hours a day. Going back to working from the office in a couple of weeks as a volunteer in a "pilot program". So slowly we see the first glimmers of the "new normal". Its crazy to think that its been approximately 9 weeks since this started seriously affecting Canada. A little bit later than "normal" but I was feeling a little under the weather yesterday so I decided I'd take a day off rather than put in a half assed effort. This week along with the pandemic we mourn the loss of Florian Schneider. Another week of staying indoors, running around and pretending I'm not stir crazy. Couple that with an impromptu visit to the hospital (I'm fine) leads to RSA being a little later than I like. But its a beautiful day outside in Toronto, and I have to get my responsibilities to you taken care of before I can go outside and sit on the grass for a few minutes! We're now on the 5th week, but bellies are full, work is getting done, and RSA is a priority even now more than ever! I don't really have a way to give back other than RSA, but everyone should consider doing what I do as "therapy". Whenever I'm feeling like crap, I make a food bank donation. At least that way I can channel some negativity into something good. But we have a long way to go, and I hope this helps! Week 4, and I think I'm slowly adjusting to the new reality. But it feels strange to be in the middle of a 4 day weekend and not be able to go out even for a bite to eat. But we all have to do our part. I'm just hoping that I'm still able to get some epic cycling done this summer. Even if I have to stay in Canada. 2021 could be the year I finally get back to Europe. We're all keeping ourselves safe? Good. After more than 3 weeks of isolation and physical distancing, I'll admit I'm going a bit squirrely.
