NLYB Records, short for Never Leave Your Brothers is a Hip-Hop collective from Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Founded by Max Scimemi aka Maxedout in 2018 along side Bakari Mitchel aka Kari8x. With the help of Colby Clattenberg aka CRC and Michael Vargas aka Apimpnamedvarg, we were able to release our first mixtape ‘Out With The Old’. Following the release, we released our follow up mixtape ‘In With The New’. Our producers, Alex Tanner, Nathan Frates, Luca Giamarco and Matt Gaffney made our vision become a reality! Harknee is a DJ and music producer making techno and house music. Coming from the south west of England, in the shadow of the Bristol’s drum ‘n’ bass scene, and Glastonbury festival, he always had a preference for music with a 4 4 beat, specifically house and techno. In 2017, he moved to London to pursue a career in music and get involved in the dance music scene in the capital. Studying a BA(Hons) in Music Production at BIMM in Fulham, he learned a wide variety of production techniques which helped him become a more well-rounded producer. 3 years in London has culminated in having a preference for the darker and more atmospheric sounds of techno, artists like Rødhåd, Freddy K and Setaoc Mass. The dark and industrial spaces are where you’ll find him clubbing, regularly attending places like Village Underground and E1. During the current lockdown period, he is making the most of his time making music and planning for the future. This period of time has helped him massively put into focus what he needs to do to grow as an artist and build a career for himself. After this current lockdown period has ended, he wants to start putting his name out into the London techno scene, meeting likeminded DJ’s and producers, and playing these dark underground clubs, pushing the darker side of techno and creating those “larger than life” moments.
