The Neverending Mixtape is a supergroup of artists from across the globe, collaborating together with the hopes of shaking up the monotony in today's hip-hop scene and showcasing underground talent. By combining a plethora of unique backgrounds, vocal styles, and production expertise, The Neverending Mixtape hopes to provide a dense catalog of high-quality work with a diverse range of sounds. When forming The Neverending Mixtape in May of 2021, contributors met entirely online through local hip-hop forums and the popular messaging app Discord, and, through the power of the internet, have been trading ideas and creating magic ever since. Production, engineering, and mastering is done entirely in-house, and the team has grown to include other creative ventures in The Neverending Network, such as The Neverending Podcast, an online storefront for merchandise, and Music Never Ends, a hip-hop editorial showcase for emerging talent worldwide. Shaun Sheena Premnath is widely recognised for his abilities to touch the hearts of many through one unique aspect, his music. By realising there is another world beyond the Western conventions of music, he studied the North Indian Classical Music. From then, he intends to create a new genre that will aid him in further developing his traits as a composer, and his skills as a musician. Ever since the age of 10, he has been incredibly active with his performing abilities, building a rather strong relationship with something he’d like to call his friend; the stage. Whilst he plays a variety of instruments at leisure, his accomplished ability to bring the nimble keys of a piano to life and to derive the earthy, resounding beats of the tabla are just a few of the key aspects Shaun is capable of. Currently a composition student at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the finest music institute in the Southern Hemisphere, it has provided him the ability to achieve his ultimate goal: to be the “master of both worlds”. With the unconditional love and support he has received throughout his life from his family, he feels that he will be able to achieve his dream. The Sixth Letter is a product of a compulsion to create. In its early form, lead singer Marx Morta would piece beats together on any equipment he could get his hands on. Whether that was a sampler with about 30mb of memory bounced onto a cassette - to dated old computers from his first job in an office. Music had to be made by any means necessary. Marx’s love for hip-hop and breaks led to a foray into djing, and while preparing sets he would include some tracks of his own. The crowds didn’t realise that the music he was playing was his and were loving it, and that energy spurred a new focus & belief. After spending the majority of time making music by himself and as tastes and preferences ebbed and flowed - so did the production and song writing. Plays on BBC Radio 1 by the likes of legendary DJ's Steve Lamacq and John Peel quickly followed. A need to collaborate was felt, and band was what was required. The songs took a different shape once they were played by individuals, and re interpreted. This was exciting. Hip-hop’s influence is never far away in TSL’s song writing, with rap verses and bridges blending effortlessly into melodic choruses. While nu metal can be tagged on to The Sixth Letter’s style, it’s the more creative end of the spectrum that they’re akin to - bands such as Snot, Incubus & Deftones have made a big impression on the band. That and punk / rock with band members (former and current) having spent many a week in a van touring in bands of that genre. Its that 'DIY' ethic that started everything - and it has come full circle into 2021. MOURAD is a New Zealand Moroccan hip hop artist hailing from the Capital city, Wellington, Tawa specifically. Hailing from Edmonton, Canada - Ground Level Falcons are back with their 5th LP, ‘Skyline’. Release date : September 22nd, 2021. This album was the bands most challenging to release, due to the start/stop nature of the pandemic of the past 18 months. Despite the lockdowns and some lengthy gaps in practicing - the band put together, what they all believe to be, their strongest effort to date! The GLF camp is back to a full lineup : bassist Greg Kolodychuk and lead guitarist/keyboardist Adrian Armitage have both returned from a 3 and a 4 year absence, respectively. The last album both Greg and Adrian were a part of was 2017s ‘The New Wilderness’. Backing vocalist, Olivia Ostrom, appears on all the songs this time around - she had made her debut on 2019s ‘Good Living Foundation’ , appearing on the last 2 songs of that album. This album marks the 10-Year-Anniversary for the band, as well. The band started out in the fall of 2011. ‘Skyline’ is the bands first self-produced album to date; frontman Matt Gardiner took on the engineering & mixing. The band used the analog online mastering service ARIA Mastering for the 2nd straight release. The album is a wonderful blend of 60s/70s and grunge era music.
