The Blitz with Fred Faour & Friends

Fred and AJ start the final hour of the show with a look at college football, and what teams have an outside shot at the CFB playoffs. Then the guys look at some of the lines from the upcoming NFL matchups this weekend and discuss what they want to bet on. The crew also talk trades, and whether the Raiders should trade players like Amari Cooper. Finally the gang ends the show with the “Hey man Bleep that” segment.

The crew starts the second hour off with some college football news, taking a look at rankings and injuries. Then the guys share stories from when they’ve sat behind home plate at Astros’ games. Then the gang is joined by the Chronicles Jerome Solomon. Finally to wrap things up the Fred and AJ look at wild headlines and do the Zadok Jewelers Gem of the Day!  

The guys start off the top of the show talking about AJ’s recent windfall of free Chuy’s for a year. Then AJ and Fred talk about the RedSox/Astros series as it happens during the show! Then the gang takes a look at NFL commentators, which ones excel and who stinks. 

To start the final hour of the show the guys go through the weekend’s NFL games for the first two segments. In the final half hour of the show, they recap the weekend of college football and finish up with the dumbass report.

To start the second hour the guys are joined by The Bench’s Lance Zierlein to discuss the Texans disappointing start to the season, how the rest of the year might play out, take a look at the rest of the AFC South, and break down the ALCS (including illegal substance drama starring Trevor Bauer). To wrap up the hour, they share a story from Bristol, Tennessee on the Zadok Jewelers Gem of the Day.

Fred and AJ kick off the first hour discussing their NFL picks and why the Texans ugly win over the Bills feels more like a loss than a win. After the opening segment, they recap their weekends before circling back to the disappointing Texans. To close out the hour, they try to figure out which teams in the NFL are actually good.

Fred and AJ start the final hour with RJ Bell of pregame.com to talk NFL picks and betting lines. The guys do the weeks “Stupid Stuff.”   

Fred and AJ start the second hour with their NFL lines for week 6\. Fred gives a story about a guy that hits a mascot and breaks the jaw of the guy wearing the costume. Fred asks the perpetual question if Eli Manning of the NY Giants is done being a serviceable NFL QB? Fred plugs SportsMap articles on line. Fred introduces the Zadok Jewelers “Gem of the Day.”  

Fred and AJ start the first hour discussing the Question If the Astros lose would that be a disappointing season? The guys transition into NHL Hockey talk. The guys go into the NL and AL Championship series. The topic changes to the NFL Thursday Night game featuring the Giants vs. Eagles. The guys discuss the Eric Flowers acquisition for the Jaguars and go into the best ranked offensive lines in the NFL. The guys end the hour with Astros postseason roster changes.

Fred and AJ start the final hour discussing a listener question on Kris Bryant from the Cubs. The guys talk about the Walking Dead premier. AJ and Fred tell a stories about Motley Crue lead singer playing with Sammy Hagar and other celebrity news. Brad Powers from Pregame.com joins the show to breakdown college picks and betting lines.

Fred and AJ start the show with Raphael Esparza Vegas gambling expert to go over football picks and betting lines. McGregor’s fight was a record pay per view coming with suspensions coming after the Khabib vs. McGregor. The guys announce Lenny Dykstra legal problems. Producer Jong goes into the next Suicide Squad movie and other comic book movie happenings. Chris Harris from harrisfootball.com joins the show to talk fantasy football. The guys finish the hour with the Zadok Jewelers “Gem of the Day.”

Fred and AJ start the show talking about Texans’ Watson playing on Sunday with his rib injury and Fred would like to see more parody in the NFL. Fred talks about SportsMap articles available for your reading pleasure. AJ discusses the Khabib Nurmagomedov MMA story. The guys give their NFL and college picks and betting lines. AJ talks about a vigil anti going after pedophiles.         

Fred and AJ start the second hour talking about the Texans vs. Bills upcoming match up. They also talk about the olds of Jimmy Butler coming to the Rockets. The gang also talk about what the football scheduled would be like if the Jacksonville Jaguars move to London. At the end of the show they talk about Zadok Jeweler’s gem of the day.

The guys start the hour off talking about the college football playoff structure and then take a look at what teams have a shot in the CFB playoff picture. Then the gang takes a look at what a divisional realignment would look like and touch on if the Cowboys vs. Texans matchup is a rivalry. And to round out the hour the crew looks at Carlos Correa’s less than spectacular post-season and whether he might be dropped from the lineup.

Then the guys are joined by Cary Brooks to get her take on the Twitter landscape. Afterward Fred talks about a commercial he was asked to do that he feels is unflattering, and the guys discuss the upcoming pub crawl that Fred will be hosting. To wrap things up the gang takes a look at who should and who shouldn’t be given an extension on the Texans roster.
