We opened the show with sad news of the day after Kaizer Chiefs confirmed that midfielder Wiseman Meyiwa’s promising career has to come to an end due to injuries sustained in a car accident last year. We spoke to Chiefs team doctor Hashendra Ramjee and Vina Maphosa. For business of sport we invited the South African Football Players Union to talk about the initative they have with Standard Bank that is aimed at improving the life skills and financial literacy of footballers in South Africa and we will joined in studio by SAFPU President Thulaganyo Gaoshubelwe. We will also hear from Rishern Pillay who is the Senior Manager Employer Value Banking at Standard Bank.

Boxing Wednesdays - We opened the show Boxing SA's Director of Operations Cindy Nkomo to talk about the provincial managers vacancies. Rodney Berman and Terris Ntutu joined us to talk about the Super 4 Boxing tournament. We also hosted former 2 time IBF champion Mzonke Fana.

Flash Back Friday - Our guest was former South African cricket captain and coach Gary Kirsten. We also revisited the Orkey disaster story where 42 fans lost their lives in a stampede during a friendly match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. We dedicated a big part of the show to the late Phil Masinga. Paying tribute were Leeds United Supporters Trust Vice-Chairman Robert Endeacott, Lucas Radebe, former Sundowns striker Raphael Chukwu. SA Masters and Legends Football Association President Buddha Mathathe also featured. We also caught with Proteas batsman and stand-in captain Dean Elgar.

we spoke to Netball SA coach Norma Plummer ahead of the Quad Series that starts on Sunday against Australia, England and New Zealand. The Australian Open gets underway on Monday and we previewed the tournament with Tennis Analyst Bruce Davidson. On our Flashback Friday feature where we celebrate our sporting heroes and we reflected on the illustrious career of Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana legend Hleman Mkhalele who was part of Bafana’s AFCON winning squad in 1996.
