Life is like a pendulum, with success one one end and failure on the other. Momentum carries the pendulum back and forth to each side. If you want to go higher then you have to push harder, and you can only push the pendulum on the side of failure.
Lesson: Be proactive about things you don't know, and ask for help. I made a mistake recently that cost me, but I see it as an investment in this lifelong lesson.
