The newest APOSS addresses the news that celebrities like anime. Jack brings Flip Flappers, and Djm brings B: The Beginning. Each remind everyone that anime is actually good sometimes. Also, Djm debates on what to bring to his local anime club, as his turn is next. His tastes in “grimdark” have been called out. All this and a question as to when a person reaches their limits in regards to how much they can tolerate from a creator in the wake of the conviction of the creator of Rurouni Kenshin.

The winter 2018 Anime Season has been a bit of a pass for APOSS, however Djm & Jack have caught a few. In Djm’s case, Pop Team Epic, and the mighty Dragon Ball Super, which leads in to a discussion over shounen. Why it works, why it doesn’t, and why it’s just too hard sometimes. For Jack, Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler. Does Netflix have yet another hit on their hands? Also, in APOSS refresh news, Djm did indeed check out a personal favorite of Jack’s, Osumatsu-san. What did he think of the sextuplets and their wacky antics? All this, and ArcSystem Works correcting sins of the past.

ANN writer and contributor Christopher Farris joins APOSS this time around for a number of topics. The 2018 Oscar nominees for Best Animated Feature are questionable at best. Not one feature from Japan was nominated, and The Boss Baby was. Jack & Djm offer (sorta) opposing viewpoints. Chris & Jack bring up the numerous issues over Doki Doki Literature Club, mental illness, and the dating sim genre of visual novels. Of course, we’ve all been playing Dragon Ball FighterZ. Anime Podcast of Some Sort Our first non-retrospective APOSS of 2018 welcomes the nicest guy in podcasting (that we’ve meet at least) Grant The Thief from Blade Licking Thieves! Alongside the tokusatsu aficionado, we talk about the two big anime of the current zeitgeist, Devilman Crybaby & Pop Team Epic. And in a rare period, Djm expresses pure unbridled anime enthusiasm over one of them thanks to voice actress extraordinaire, Monica Rial and a favorite anime from his past. Also, Otaku Coin. 2017 happened. Jack & Djm had a lot happen. From comics to videos, conventions, and all sorts of terrible things in between. There’s a lot to cover. Anime. Video Games. Movies. Death. Depression. Sex. So, this was a giant-sized two-hour Anime Podcast of Some Sort, for all of you that feel like brevity is for others. Here’s to 2018 and moving onwards and upwards.

If your job is starting to slow down for the holiday season, Anime Podcast Of Some Sort has a nice stocking-stuffer-sized podcast for you! The trailer for Alita: Battle Angel is finally out, and we finally see James Cameron & Robert Rodriguez long-awaited vision. Sci-fi fan Djm takes a look from all angles. Jack has finally joined the seasonal anime brigade, and has two more updates, along with the regular APOSS Inuyashiki conversation. Hiro, you sick twisted psychopath. Nothing you do is okay. Later, Djm fell into a hole known as Twitch IRL, and breaks down the streaming giant’s controversy, including the much-discussed “tittystreamers”. APOSS is joined by comedian, HunterXHunter evangelist, and owner of cool Zelda tattoos, Lisa Wallen! So what better topic to have an actual funny person discuss than the arrest of Rurouni Kenshin creator Nobuhiro Watsuki? Yeah, we went there. It IS news, guys.  Along with that, Jack is hype for an upcoming Dangan Ropa, but is struggling (mightily) with the previously mentioned Sonic The Hedgehog playthrough, much to Djm’s chagrin. All this and why the possibility of a new Super Mario Bros movie may not be so bad.  Plus, if you want Jack to suffer, there is a game for it, and if you commit to it, Djm has a penance of his own, and you know you want David to suffer, right? Episodes 5 and 6 of our three fall anime all come out with some good and some things to work on. Kino’s Journey puts a clear picture on how the main character appeals to audiences. Is Kino a character or an avatar for the viewer? Evil or Live quickens its pace. Shin has a point to keep an eye on, and a few new characters catch Cody’s eye. King’s Game redeems Ria, much to our delight, and the revelation of what the game actually is comes to fruition.

A piece from Yussef Cole on the animation style in Cuphead and its connection to the racial stereotypes of the 1930s animation gets our attention. Jack, noted Cuphead fan. Djm, noted non-white person. We discuss. Later, Jack & Djm are both enjoying Inuyashiki, Osomatsu-san is back, and Gundam is in stores…including one that wasn’t so well-received. Can Djm make a case for Gundam AGE? And does he really have a Gundam flow-chart? And every fighting game is M.U.G.E.N, and everyone is okay with it. We’ve reached episode’s 3 and 4 of the three shows we’re reviewing for the fall—Kino’s Journey, King’s Game & Evil or Live. Djm recalls a time where anime viewing had a rule of four episodes before making a final decision, and did it ever come into play on this podcast. Which anime redeemed itself? Which one needs to pick up the pace for both Shay and Djm? All this, and extra helpings of backstory on the newest It’s In Season.

Is this an extra-spoopy episode of APOSS? Possibly. Hayao Miyazaki has announced the name of his movie, and Jack & Djm finally open up on their less-than-warm feelings about the famed director. It’s In Season Podcast, Fall 2017 Thanks for listening to It’s In Season, the youngest of the Delta Juliet Mike Podcasts. It’s In Season is an anime review podcast in which Shay Taree, Cody, and Djm pick shows from the current airing anime season and review them a few episodes a time with each podcast. The Big Story – Neo Yokio So, Neo Yokio. The Netflix animated original starring Jaden Smith as Kaz Kaan, demon-hunting socialite and 2nd Most Eligible Bachelor. Now, we’re not saying Jack may have been dealing with food poisoning. And we’re not saying Djm had a migraine that lasted for nearly a week. And we’re not saying Neo Yokio had anything to do with those.  We’re just sayin’. Jack, Djm and Kevo dive deeply into the series everyone is talking about and whether they hated or loved it. Is it an allegory for leftism? Is this a self-aware parody on the part of noted Twitter artist Jaden Smith? Did Neo Yokio come from tumblr-and-deviantart-fueled fever dream?  Do Desus & Mero have a future in voice acting?
