Anime Podcast of Some Sort: One Piece, Pirates on a Train. Only Toonami – Delta Juliet Mike Media | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Big thanks to Shay, the Anime Reviewer Girl, for joining us on this episode as a guest! Shay joins the A-posse to talk about all sorts of anime things under the sun! Jack has discovered Steins;Gate via visual novel, while Shay & Djm make comparisons with the anime, and how much we all love saying the main character’s name with his mannerisms. There’s a 90s nostalgia grip, thanks to Sega & Nintendo, and old man Djm is nearly in tears thanks to his ol’ blue buddy, Sonic the Hedgehog. Later, Jack gives his take one One Piece being 65 percent complete…which leads to Shay triggering Djm’s rage. All this and a couple of updates on some shows we’ve talked about being a little TOO quiet, but are apparently beginning to open up. You’re welcome, shounen fans. APOSS SHOW NOTES UPDATE: Is the Dragon Ball Super dub happening? You can thank APOSS for bringing it up. We love you. Jojo is heading to Toonami. You can thank APOSS for the prediction. We love you. Sega announces Sonic Mania and “Project Sonic 2017” to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. Djm is euphoric. Nintendo releasing an NES mini-console with over 30 games. No, you cannot play your Nintendo cartridges on them. Eiichiro Oda says One Piece is 65 percent complete. Calculate the time it will take to finish and see if you will still be alive.  Anime Podcast of Some Sort: Crunchyroll Says “Please Support The Official Release” – Delta Juliet Mike Media | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Today on APOSS, Djm is joined by his brother-in-podcasting-arms, Colton Solem! The gents talk about the biggest anime properties of them all to start off with and point out how the Silver Age is real and the quest to give the filthy casual a gateway into the wonderful anime world is ever stronger. One Punch Man is coming to Toonami, Dragon Ball Super’s manga is easily accessible thanks to Viz (along with many others for free), and Bleach is finally ending. Colton tells us just how long some of his favorite shows have been a part of his life, while Djm struggles with coming to grips with old age. And yes, Virginia. Attack on Titan’s second season is coming. Later in the podcast, we talk about Crunchyroll’s big announcements coming out Anime Expo. The former not-so-legit hub has gone all the way in with video distribution, with an all-star line-up of upcoming DVD and Blu-Ray releases. One show in particular, is Gintama, Colton’s pride and joy. The host of Life Lessons (the Gintama Manga Podcast) gives his take now that he has seen the top of the otaku mountain. Attack on Titan Season 2 – It’s Real. One Punch Man is on Toonami. Bleach is ending. For real this time. Crunchyroll entering the Blu-Ray and DVD Market, leading with Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Big Thanks to Good Brother Colton for joining in on APOSS.  Anime Podcast of Some Sort – Dragon Ball Super—Oversight or Overdone? – Delta Juliet Mike Media | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

On this episode, David Majors has made an observation that no one seems to be talking about. Why hasn’t Funimation said anything about Dragon Ball Super? Is it just us? Is Toei having a hissy fit? Ain’t this a license to print money for everybody? This leads Jack & Djm to lament over the fading opportunities for new and original IPs and material, even in Japan! Because now, we have Sadako vs. Kayako, starring the two characters from The Grudge & The Ring (or Ringu, you pedantic sons-a….please subscribe!). There is no money in being new and creative. There is all of the money in making what has already been successful again. Jack introduces a Vita game that is also on the PS4! Bet you we got your attention now, huh? Yes. Jack tells us about Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir. Later, the leaders of the APOSSE introduce each other to two more shows. Djm’s curiosity about Mr. Osumatsu prompts Jack to give a rundown, while the Deej throws My Hero Academia back at Jack. All this, and stories of the anime conventions that were (Fanime)…and were not (ColossalCon).

Anime Podcast of Some Sort: Cabernet of the Iron Fortress – Delta Juliet Mike Media | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Welcome to APOSS! This episode, Jack & Djm are joined by Josh Dunham, host of Senpai Coast to Coast and founder of the Wave Motion Cannon blog. He says he takes anime waaaay too seriously, but he knows what he’s talking about, so Djm can have someone else other than Jack to lean on this episode! After running through the news (including one upcoming premiere that David is particularly excited for), Jack, Josh and David discuss the streaming of Satoshi Kon’s Millenium Actress and his ongoing influence as a director. Jack gives us an update on the next Ace Attorney game and his ever-evolving thoughts on the anime. Later in the show, Josh finally explains what he doesn’t like about one of this current anime season’s more popular shows, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. All this and a little Japaneezy-Weezy.  Two Nerdy Black Guys: 100 Episodes! Then. And Now – Delta Juliet Mike Media | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A milestone in podcasting. 100 episodes. The two nerdy black guys have been shooting the shit with one another and a few others for long enough to officially produce and release 100 episodes. On this occasion, we decided to invite a couple of guests on. One that has known us from the podcast’s inception, Swaggy P, Patrick Swagger. And we finally answer the question of why we never invited him on the podcast as a guest until now. Also, on the show, a man that needs no introduction, Patrick Kohn best known as TimeJumper319. Djm personally invited him on to get an insight into his beliefs behind why he contributes to various creators through patreon. Who he picks, why he sees patreon as important as it is, and why the hell did he jump on the Delta Juliet Mike train. All this, and after all of these years, David Majors and Brandon Cooper (Djm & kingkaz) have really not changed at all. Thank you for listening, and enjoy. If you want to be as gracious and as wonderful as Mr. Kohn & Swagger, check out patreon.com/deltajulietmike. And follow them both on Twitter @TimeJumper319 and @TheSwagger
