The move means that the comic book blockbuster will worldwide on the same day, reducing the possibility of spoilers and likely giving a little breathing room between that Marvel release and Solo: A Star Wars Story, which will not open one month later. Bruce Willis recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he confirmed that DIE HARD 6 is still in the works - confirming that the new script is done and he'll be flying out to California to check it out. The previous report for the sixth Die Hard was described as YEAR ONE, in which it's both a prequel and a sequel with most of the action taking place in the late 70s', back when John McClane was "a cop in gritty New York City." According to THR, Danny Boyle and Love Actually screenwriter Richard Curtis have teamed up for an untitled music-inspired comedy at Universal. Details are being kept under wraps except it is known to be musically themed and set in the 1960s or '70s. Universal is eying a shoot for as early as summer if casting can come together. THR reports that a film version of the cult graphic novel Black Hole by Charles Burns is in the works with Dope director and one time Flash director Rick Famuyiwa set to helm. Black Hole follows a group of high schoolers who contract a mysterious, sexually transmitted disease known as "the Bug."  Solo: A Star Wars Story Timeline Places It Before Rogue One - Movie Talk | File Type: audio/x-mpeg | Duration: 00:49:54

On this episode of Collider Movie Talk (Wednesday, February 28th, 2018) Mark Ellis, Clarke Wolfe, Jon Schnepp, and Mark Reilly discuss the following: 1) 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Timeline Places It Before 'Rogue One' 2) James Gunn Reveals Baby Groot Is Actually Groot's Son 3) Boyd Holbrook in Talks to Write, Star in Thriller 'The Thirst' at Fox 4) 'Imitation Game' Writer Sets Directorial Debut With Female-Led Futuristic 5) 'Shazam!': Here's Your First, Unofficial, Shitty Look at Zachary Levi in Costume 6) Live Twitter Questions A new timeline has been revealed by Del Rey Books, the official publication line for Disney's Star Wars novelizations, and it gives us a good idea of when the upcoming Ron Howard movie Solo: A Star Wars Story takes place. As THR pointed out, and as the timeline suggests, the events of Solo will take place before both Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the ongoing adventures of Disney's animated series Star Wars Rebels. An interesting thing happened over on Twitter yesterday after Jedi Council and Entertainment Tonight Now's own Ash Crossnan quote-tweeted out an image of Baby Groot and a Porg, asking which one to save. Variety reports that 20th Century Fox is in talks with Logan star Boyd Holbrook for the actor to star in, write, and executive produce the futuristic thriller entitled The Thirst. Based on an original idea from Holbrook himself, the movie takes place in a world where water is scarce. THR is reporting that Studio 8 has picked up Graham Moore's sci-fi thriller Naked Is the Best Disguise, which will serve as Moore's directorial debut. The Imitation Game's writer developed the idea with Scoop Wasserstein of Scoop Productions; in a story set in the near future in which new technology allows one person's memories to be extracted and inserted into someone else. The first unofficial look at Zack Levi's Shazam! has been revealed, and it comes to us courtesy of a side-photo snapped and posted on Reddit. The image was immediately met with a ton of comments and criticism, but just as a reminder, it is an unofficial image and WB and DC Films has yet to acknowledge or confirm.  Mark Hamill May Join Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - Movie Talk | File Type: audio/x-mpeg | Duration: 00:39:34

On this episode of Collider Movie Talk (Tuesday, February 27th, 2018) Mark Ellis, Clarke Wolfe, Kristian Harloff, and John Rocha discuss the following: 1) Mark Hamill May Have Landed a Role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy 3' over Twitter 2) The Weinstein Company to Declare Bankruptcy After Sale Talks Fail 3) Opening This Week - Death Wish, Red Sparrow 4) Antoine Fuqua Back In 'Scarface' Talks 5) 'Dora The Explorer' Headed To Theaters Late Summer 2019 6) 'Captain Marvel': Gemma Chan Joins Cast As Minn-Erva 7) Live Twitter Questions Writer/director James Gunn is currently hard at work scripting Guardians of the Galaxy 3 when one enterprising young fan had a very specific request about some potential casting - include Mark Hamill. According to Deadline, The Weinstein Company is set to declare bankruptcy after sale of the company talks ultimately failed. After the fallout of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, the company he co-founded with his brother Bob has been attempting to salvage itself with a sale of all its content to another owner. OPENING THIS WEEK AGREE / DISAGREE According to a new report from Deadline, Antoine Fuqua and Universal Pictures are back in conversations about the new Scarface remake that has been on and off for the past couple years. Fuqua left the project over scheduling conflicts, with these new talks said to be "early." But Deadline notes things are looking good and progressing toward a deal. Paramount Pictures yesterday announced the official date for their upcoming Dora the Explorer live action film - now set for August 2nd, 2019. THR previously revealed that Neighbors and The Muppets writer Nicholas Stoller would be tackling scripting duties, and now it's been revealed that his Muppets helmer James Bobin has signed on to direct. Deadline reports that 'Humans' star Gemma Chan will join Brie Larson in the upcoming Captain Marvel film that is a prequel set inside the MCU. Chan will play Captain Minnerva, a geneticist and spy from the alien race Kree, and one of Marvel's antagonists; at least in the comics.
