Hope For The Holidays: Melanie & Family 12/22/2022 LISTEN HERE! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1081

Dear Johnny, My name is Melanie and I am writing because we are desperate for help this holiday. The company my husband, Scott, was working for went bankrupt in November and they had to let all of their employees go. We didn’t have any warning this was going to happen and we have 3 children. A son age 13, a daughter age 11, and a son age 6. It’s a rough time of the year and we are really struggling to pay bills. My husband is a computer tech and has been doing all the freelance work he can to keep us caught up. Our furnace went out so we have shut our gas off. We live in a mobile home community and it has been really cold in the house and with winter here it’s only going to get colder. We are relying on jackets, blankets and space heaters to keep us warm which is making our electric bill very expensive and I’m worried it will end up shut off as well. I just feel like crying and I don’t know what to do. We are truly at a loss and could sincerely some help. My husband starts a new job at the first of the year and I just want to give my kids a warm home for Christmas. Thank you for time and consideration. Happy Holidays. Melanie Who Helped: Jerry, Shannon, Gilligan, Jeff, Consentino's plus Brian Moore w/ Hometown Heroes Heating & Cooling and Royal Supply. How You Helped: Installing a brand new furnace, took care of elec. & gas bills, lot rent, Christmas for the kids and groceries!

Hope For The Holidays: James 12/21/2022 LISTEN HERE!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1153

Dear Johnny, My name is James and I have a full time job in waste management. I’ve been a driver for 17 yrs. My wife works part time and our kids are all grown. On Sunday December 11th I didn’t feel good and my chest felt really heavy. My wife called 911 and an ambulance arrived. It turns out I was having a major heart attack, and I’d just turned 50 years old. It was so unexpected and it will put me out of a job for a few months until I get released by the doctors. My wife and I are worried because we always struggle to get ends met but we always find a way. Now with being out of work I’m worried about the mortgage and keeping up on other bills. I have to say I’m so scared this was something I never planned for. I want to get back to work because I just don’t want to feel like I’m letting anyone down. Thank you for reading my letter and I hope you have a good holiday. James Who Helped: Glen, Scotty, Ronni, River, Jacob, Seth & Pipefitters Local 533 How You Helped: Paid 2 months mortgage, gas & Electric bills

Hope For The Holidays: Josh & Kayla 12/20/2022 LISTEN HERE! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1038

Dear Johnny, My name is Sherry and I’m writing to you because my family really needs your help. My son Josh and his wife Kayla lost everything they own in a house fire last night (12-16-22) in Cameron Missouri. Luckily no one was in the house at the time, but tragically they did lose two of their beloved pet dogs and literally everything they own. They are a family of 7, with 5 children ranging from ages 2-6 years old. Firefighters believe the fire started from a faulty outlet in the bedroom. They are now having to start over and right before Christmas as well. Times are already hard as it is and now they really will be facing some difficulties to overcome this as a young family who puts every penny they earn into providing for their kids. Josh works so hard to support their family and for all those things they now have lost, they are beyond devastated by this. If there’s anything you could do to help them get through this rough patch so close to the holidays, I would appreciate it beyond words. Even the bare necessities like clothes, shoes, household items, etc. Anything you could do would be much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Sherry Wolfgang

Hope For The Holidays: Mary 12/19/2022 LISTEN HERE!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1109

Dear Johnny, My name is Aaron and I am writing in hopes to get help for my mother, Mary. My mom is retired, but she has been a caretaker for the last 14 years helping with my grandpa until he passed in 2009, then my grandma who passed in 2016 and now my uncle who suffers from Parkinsons. He is in and out of the hospital and rehab facilities a lot. My mother has health issues of her own (stage 4 of kidney failure) but continues to help everybody all she can. My mom came and stayed with me from the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving to Monday. The plumbing in her house has been backing up and causing problems. Yesterday she had a plumber come out and take a look, and they found out her main sewer line is broken 28 feet from the house. They quoted her $4000.00 to fix it and on a fixed income, she just doesn’t have it. She doesn't have that kind of money and has had to shut the water off to her house and is coming back to stay with us. She has been so strong and is always there for family. I just wish I could be there to help her. It just seems it is taking a toll on her physically and emotionally. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Hope you guys have a happy holiday. Aaron Who Helped: Amish Adam, Adrian, Chris, Q & The Creepy Horseman Community, Kevin & Muddy River Tactical, Consentino's How You Helped: Raised money to pay for sewer repair, grocery gift card

Hope For The Holidays: Jamie & Family 12/15/2022 LISTEN HERE!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1136

Dear Johnny, My name is Jamie and I’m writing because on November 2nd, I lost my husband, my best friend and the father of my kids unexpectedly at the age of 40. That day I was headed home from work and my 2 teenagers were trying to resuscitate their father and wait for emergency services. He was taken to the hospital and placed in ICU, but never regained consciousness. My husband was selfless and so great to our family. He always had time and if you needed something, you could count on him. He was the life of any room and loved concerts. He had a lot of knowledge and love for all music...and man could he dance. As of right now, we are still waiting for a death certificate. Doctors are trying to determine if it could have been a brain aneurism or a blood clot. We both work, but he was our bread winner. This year I have had to tell our kids I can’t do Christmas because I’m trying to keep a roof over our heads. I work everyday and it just isn’t the same without that 2nd income. Of course my kids understand, but I just don’t want to fall behind and have so much worry. If nothing else, thank you taking the time to read this. In loving memory, love you Marc! Jamie Who Helped: Jason, Jeff, Bobby, Jennifer, Erin, Ashley, Joel, Bill Ludwig III & WFL3 Drums

A life well lived and a true LEGEND!! We talk to iconic AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson!!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 949

AC/DC is one of the most iconic rock & roll bands of all time. Brian Johnson is one of the most recognizable voices in rock history. If you do not like AC/DC, you are likely an asshole. These...are facts. And today, we had the distinct pleasure of spending a few minutes talking to Brian about his new book, "The Lives Of Brian"...and as is with every conversation we've ever had with him...he is one of the most humble, kind and friendly rock legends you could ever hope to meet. We only got to spend a few minutes chatting this morning, and that didn't EVEN scratch the surface of his story...so hopefully soon we'll get him back in to get deeper into the story...but for now, enjoy 10 minutes with a true icon.

Hope For The Holidays: 12/14/22 LISTEN HERE! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 923

Dear Johnny, Thank you for taking the time to read this email. We have struggled these last few months and my family could really use your help. My husband was involved in a serious car crash and was severally injured in September. He broke 7 ribs and lacerated several internal organs. We were so worried while he spent a few days in the ICU. And then he was off work to recover for 6 weeks after. We both have jobs, but he rushed himself back to work because he knew the bills were adding up. The kids and I are just happy that he made it through and is still here with us. We are keeping up as best we can, but we have an outstanding electrical bill that I know is weighing heavily on him. I just want to take a little bit of that load off if I can. Thank you very much for reading, God bless and merry Christmas.

"I think Kevin DuBrow was the first person ever to be 'cancelled'!" Legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo stops by the show!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2006

We've had the chance to talk to a whole lot of rock stars over the years...and there are few that can truly be considered rock royalty like legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo. A Cuban immigrant, he chased his dream of playing music to spend time in some of the most iconic and influential acts in heavy metal. Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Dio...and that's just scratching the surface. He rejoined Quiet Riot in 2021, at the behest of late drummer Frankie Banali, to carry on the band's legacy....and now they've unearthed an unreleased recording. "I Can't Hold On", featuring both Frankie and late frontman Kevin DuBrow....and we talked to him all about it this morning!

Hope For The Holidays: Kimberly & Family 12/12/2022 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1068

Dear Johnny, My name is Kimberly. My family and I could really use some help this holiday. My husband is 33 and has been type 1 diabetic for most of his life (he was diagnosed at 6months old). In October, he had a heart attack and has been off work a little more than 2 months while recovering. We are doing our best to survive on my income alone. He just started back to work last week and it worries me because his job is heavy labor, but the bills are piling up and he wanted to get back to work. Right now we are struggling to keep our lights on, pay rent, put food on the table for our 3 kids and the insulin and other medication needed for my husband. We usually have no issues, but have just fallen behind and I worry about Christmas for the kids. They see us struggling and it hurts me to see the way this has affected them. Thank you for reading my letter and thank you for everything you do. We appreciate it. Happy holidays.  Hope For The Holidays: Jessie & Family 12/12/2022 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 801

Dear Johnny, My name is Jessie, I’m a 29 year old single mother of 3 amazing children. In 2021, I had been experiencing some headaches and they would come on strong and all of a sudden. After visiting the doctor in February, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was small and not growing so we had MRI’s every 6 months. In August of 2021 it grew just a little bit, but by February of 2022 it almost tripled in size. I had several tests done and at the end of March, I saw my neurosurgeon and he told me in 5 days, he’d be performing a craniotomy to resect all of the tumor that he could get, but due to some complications he was only able to get a biopsy. I came home 3 days after my surgery with 72 staples in my head and severe swelling. I made it through and my kids stepped up and helped more than a parent could dream of. At the end of April I got information that the biopsy was inconclusive and that I need to undergo a second craniotomy, which happened on May 20th of 2022. This time I had 42 staples and lost all feeling in my left leg (I can still walk, but sometimes have numbness). I had to re-learn how to walk on my left leg. In late June/early July, we were told that it is cancer. They weren’t able to remove the tumor due to its location and it could cripple my left side. I started radiation and chemo and have continued on my treatments. Then I was laid off from my job, but thankfully was able to find another job and started the following Monday morning. In between all of my medical issues, my father passed away from Alzheimer’s. And, I’m doing my best to keep up, but we are falling behind. My kids have been so good through all of this and I’m just worried about Christmas. My next check is going to have to try and cover bills and I just want them to have a good holiday. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read my letter. Happy Holidays. Jessie Who Helped: Pinball Jeff, Wendy, David, Consentino's How You Helped: Caught up on electric bill, car payment and phone bill, Christmas for the kids, groceries
