We finally get the P.O.V. of a Lannister, one of the only ones that doesn't seem to be an epic asshole with no self-awareness.Brendan cheers on Tyrion for drinking beer, while Natasha cheers him on for slapping Joffrey (and then scorns him for burning his bacon on purpose like a heathen). Sound fun? It is!

Welcome to our fifth episode! We will be taking the weekend off, so be sure to savor this Friday-morning podcast. I know you'll miss us. This chapter takes us back to Winterfell with a focus on Eddard Stark, a self-proclaimed humorless icicle man (he said humorless, I put in the icicle part). The King arrives with his posse, and we get to learn a lot of the backstory between Robert and Ned, and about Ned's family. Plus, the King makes Ned an offer her can't refuse. Listen as Brendan pitches a new domain name dedicated to King Robert (www.maidensfantasy.com) and predicts that he has syphilis, while Natasha compares Robert's job as King to Judge Judy.

We're really on a roll here, guys.In this chapter we switch to the perspective of Bran's mom, Mrs. Stark (that's what they call her at the PTA meetings), and learn some more about the religions of the folks in this country, from septs to weirwoods. Ned receives the news that Jon Arryn is dead, and that the King is coming for a visit. Take a listen as Brendan, using all of his vast knowledge of Kings and their habits, makes some predictions, and Natasha talks about how big Ned's sword is.
We move into Chapter One , Where one of the Survivors from the prologue reappears, Brendan has some things to say about Thon Greyjoy and Wolverine-Moose, and Natasha cackles to herself over the hints and forshadowing.
