Round two with Shannon Cunningham proves to be quite the update. She has greatly expanded her trail meals website (http://www.musthikemusteat.com). Her recipes are amazing. I can say with confidence because I was able to try a couple this past summer. She has also taken on a huge role with the PCTA through northern Washington's North 350 Blades! She adopted a section of the Pacific Crest Trail just north of Stevens Pass and is going to lead her first trip this summer in the Glacier Peak area. To grasp the full transformation with Shannon and with me on this podcast! We have both come a long ways since last winter.
Lisa Holmes is a self published guidebook author. Her first two books are: I Heart Oregon’s Seven Wonders and I Heart Oregon (And Washington): 25 of Portland Areas Best Hikes. Also, she publishes her own books through her business Yulan- yulanstudio.com
Kolby Kirk has an amazing story that I try to pull out of him in this episode. He is currently working on a book about his 2011 Pacific Crest Trail hike and the journals he kept along the way. He has had many projects and goals throughout his hiking days, including 2009 and 2010; hiking 100 different hikes in a year, hiking 500 miles in one year and hiking with as many different people in a year. Read all about his goals, accomplishments and upcoming book on his website: http://www.thehikeguy.com
Renee Patrick, aka She-Ra is back to talk about the Oregon Desert Trail (ODT). All of the information you would want to know is right in this episode. The ODT has an amazing website: https://onda.org/where-we-work/oregon-desert-trail that has an online guide book, water information and ways to get involved.
Renee Patrick was given her trail name, She-Ra, when she hiked the Appalachian Trail after her time in the Peace Corps. Later she hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail to complete the triple crown of long distance hiking. We also talk about some of her many other trails on top of those, as well as some of her past work and college experience. Her business Hikertrash is loved in the hiking community. She recently picked up the sport of Pack Rafting and is on the board for the Oregon Desert Trail. The easiest way to connect with her is http://www.reneepatrick.com

With the upcoming release of his debut book, Hiking the PCT in Oregon, I ask Eli Borschetto all about the final product. The Pacific Crest Trail is broken down by sections through the state of Oregon in this book. We also talk about how he researched this book from his hiking and writing to his photography.
On my second episode with no true interview, I talk mostly about taking my two daughters hiking and I interview my 8 year old daughter Raichel.
