All of this and a painfully long discussion of “Doug” and “Rugrats”, on this week’s episode of the Revival League Podcast! The gang chats about the reasoning behind doing a sketch, the ideas that launched each sketch, and why it's on a different channel. And, in the best traditions of lazy hosts everywhere, they throw to clips from the show. Lots of Utah. Don't ask. Also, Ron and Deana sit down with Matt McCallan, the man behind the Satellite of Grub blog, and Ron and Erica Rodriguez recap DragonCon. Plus, Ryan, Erik and Robb chat about "Shorts in a Bunch: Back to School", our upcoming radio play, and discuss how MSTies can lend a helping hand to the victims of Hurricane Florence. All this and a recipe for a "Final Justice"-themed milkshake, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast.  Episode 129 - Labor Day Workers' Soda Review with Zombie Nighmare's Frank Dietz | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 01:09:39

Rise up, comrades, and join the Revival League’s “Labor Day Worker’s Soda Review!” The “Gang of Four” -- Greg, Ron, Robb and Erica (plus special guest Frank “Zombie Nightmare” Dietz) -- sample sodas from across Eastern Europe. The results are anything but revolutionary. It’s a Long March as the gang questions the means of soda production, all while sipping such Iron Curtain flavors as tarragon, elderberry, bitter lemon, sour cherry, quinine and anise. Soft drinks from Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina all march across everyone’s taste buds, until their poor palates start Stalin out. This Labor Day Special certainly left its Marx. The consensus: most of these beverages would be improved with a stiff shot of vodka. All this, and a long winter’s bread line, on this week’s episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). They chat about coming back for the new season, writing a fresh batch of songs, and why Paul still hasn't tipped Ryan for carrying his equipment two years ago. Meanwhile, Robb, Ryan and Kate chat about the RiffTrax Live version of "Krull" radio plays, the recent High Plains Comedy Festival (featuring Baron Vaughn and Jonah Ray), and why it's not okay to murder babies. All this and, seriously, a lot of discussion about why you shouldn't murder babies, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). Later, Ron and Natalie sit down to chat with Mary Jo Pehl about her new YouTube series, Costco free samples, and the horrors of retail. Meanwhile, Robb, Ryan and Greg sample an orange cream soda, and Ryan explains why you should never watch "Misery" and "UHF" back-to-back before bedtime. All this and a ridiculously long discussion about "Jaws", on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). In this episode of the Revival League Podcast, the gang sits down with the one and only Joel Hodgson on the set of MST3K Season 12. Joel talks about what it's like to be back, the challenges of filming on a tight schedule, and what it's like to have fans on set as the show is being made. Plus, Ron and Natalie chat with RiffTrax webmaster Erik Peterson. Meanwhile, Greg, Robb and Deana sample a pair of KISS-inspired sodas and Greg talks at length about sock discomfort. All this and far too much conversation about Gene Simmons' tongue, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). Next up from the set of Season 12 of "Mystery Science Theater 3000," the Revival League interviews Test Subject and Show Host Jonah Ray... but something seems a little off. Who will win in this battle of wits... Jonah Ray, or his stand in, Fauxnah Ray (who noisily eats a sandwich during his interview)? Greg heads to Salt Lake City for a MSTie baby shower, and hangs out with James. In the Mini Soda Review, Greg and James dive into the purple, syrupy horror that is Bedford's Marionberry Cream. And Ron interviews Kickstarter hopeful Zach Peterson, who is currently crowdfunding a MST3K-themed indie video game, "Hard as Cheese," for P.C. Android. All that, and some happy baby wishes for James and Aimee, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity).  Episode 124 - The Mads Monster Bracket Challenge | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 00:43:52

On this episode of the Revival League Podcast, match wits with the Mads as Trace Beaulieu, Frank Conniff and Carolina Hidalgo count down the greatest monsters from classic films and MST3K! Will Dracula beat the Wolfman? Will Trumpy best the Creeping Terror? And are your own brackets close to the Mads' final picks? Listen to find out! All this and a shockingly crude hobgoblin puppet, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). And Ron and Deana chat with Josh Mirman, founder of Zen Monkey Studios, about the awesome MST3K merch his company makes. And finally, Greg has kidnapped Deana and Erik and forced them to sit in a cabin drinking straight maple sap and watching for moose. How we wish we were kidding. All this and a curiously aggressive hummingbird, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity).  Episode 122 - Patton Oswalt | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 00:35:04

Recorded live on the set of season 12 of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" -- it's Patton Oswalt! TV's Son of TV's Frank chats with the gang about what it's like to be back for season 12, whether Max is dumber than Frank, and how "Watership Down" scarred a generation of unsuspecting kids. All this and a shockingly violent rabbit story, on this episode of the Revival League Podcast. (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). EDITOR’S NOTE: In June 2019, this podcast merged with the Damn Dirty Geeks Podcast and became The Damn Dirty Drive-in. These are our classic back catalog episodes, dating back to March 2016.  Episode 121 - Nick Evans | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 01:28:55

Also, the gang talks way too much about 80s TV staple "Hardcastle & McCormick" and discuss "Ant Man and the Wasp". Plus, Ron interviews Nick Evans, the voice of ICWXP's Topsy Bot 5000. All this and a "The Scarecrow and Mrs. King" marathon, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity).
