This week’s portion is Ki Tisa, “when you elevate.” It is nested among similar Torah portions that when strung together, inform readers that within their verses are found prophecies of resurrection. In Ki Tisa, there was judgment, the sin was forgiven, the silver was melted down to become receptacles for the beams or "pillars," and the Cloud could once again dwell among the Darling Israel. The Shema, the Golden Rule, and the melted Darlings of the Tabernacle combine to explain the Cloud gathering of resurrection. Join us as we explore how this is all connected.

This look, Mark takes another look at a topic he's approached before, but -- it's SO much WORSE this time. In Matthew chapter 24, asked about things that would mark the "end of the age," He began by telling them in no uncertain terms, "do NOT be deceived!" That was followed up by some specifics that we may have seen before, but are certainly seeing again, and then the key phrase: "Lawlessness will ABOUND." Are we there yet? After a hiatus, the teachers are back this week to finish up the study of Jeremiah chapter 8 and move into chapter 9. And still, though, the question must be asked. He may have been talking to a rebellious, pagan nation THEN, but isn't every charge against them just as apropos NOW?
