In this teaching we cover one of the commandments about caring for the less fortunate such as the Widow and Orphan. There is a familiar adage about "Give a man a fish, and he'll eat today; teach him how to fish and he'll eat every day." In other words, a gift merely strengthens the weakness (unless the person is disabled or too young or old to work). A loan to an able-bodied Israelite holds the obligation to repay, and therefore, the recipient learns money management that will strengthen him in the future. He, too, can then "loan it forward." Here we discuss why Babylon says "I will not sit as a widow."

Parsha "Mishpatim" (Exodus/Shemot chapters 21 through 24) is one of the most ordinance, or "judgment-packed" in the Torah. It's also very NOT 'politically-correct,' and thus most often ignored. And all the more so because it's a vital reminder of all of the elements of "slavery" that are more relevant than ever, as once-free peoples return to the bondage Scripture warned us about. Biblical salvation is more than just a theological construct. It is a Truthful and Real condition that every human being on planet earth needs! Two of the more well-known and better expressions of this much-needed gift from the Hand of the Almighty Eternal One is, firstly, that of John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His Unique Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." A second statement to explain this is from Sha'ul (Paul) who wrote in Colossians 2:13-14 - "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross (tree)." The often-quoted statement from John 3:16 is pretty easy to follow. However, for many, the statement from Colossians 2:14 is a bit more problematic and presents us with a large number of different interpretations. My understanding of the statement is rather straightforward because I think it directly relates back to Genesis 3:22, "Then YHVH Elohim (God) said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil." On this episode of Real Israel Talk Radio - Program Number 6, Episode 58, we'll have a look into Paul's statement from Colossians 2:14, "...having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross." We will come to understand that Paul was NOT AT ALL speaking about the Mosaic Law (the Torah). Rather, he was specifically addressing Jewish-Hebrew biblical law referred to as the Laws of Acquisitions, Liens, and Discharges of Debt. All of this is expressed in ancient Israelite law and a good understanding of this can help us to understand what Paul was referring to in Colossians 2:14.  We will also have a look at some additional biblical ideas concerning ransom and redemption. David Justice and Mark Call discuss some of the events of the week just past, from the Farce in the Swamp, and whether it will mean more people seeing through the 'narrative,' to the ever-more-obvious threats leading directly to the Mark of the Beast.

The First Amendment, and the concept of free speech -- at least by the 'deplorables' -- is dead. How obvious can it be? It SHOULD be obvious that you don't want to let people who want to kill you inject something into your body. Especially if they are immune from liability, and haven't even tested it (well, at least not for 'efficacy')! But there is an even more important reason why Mark suggests that the obvious is now immaterial, and the reasons why are a matter of life and death. "The OBVIOUS is Immaterial - or worse..."

The Torah teachers continue the study of the Book of the prophet YermeYahu, or Jeremiah, into chapter 8, where the dominant theme -- both then AND now -- seems to be a choice of "death rather than life." And the question seems to be, "just how obvious can it be?"
