The New Era of Electric Vehicles Doesn’t Seem To Tickle Everyone’s Fancy! | #538 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:15

Contributor Lauren Fix – Editor-In-Chief for Car Coach reports starts our show off today with news from the auto world. The AM radio is disappearing. Ford, General Motors, and many more of our domestic automakers are removing AM radios from their vehicles. Reason? It causes interference with electric vehicles. Whether that’s true or not, who knows? However, there is a save AM radio campaign going on, for there are over 50 million people who listen to AM radio daily. Next on the list, are subscriptions. It seems to be the way automakers are going to make up for the loss in manufacturing electric vehicles. If you want warm seats, subscribe, if you want more power, subscribe, if you want to use the radio, your gonna have to subscribe. Before Lauren say’s goodbye, she shares that she is test driving the 2023 Volvo V60 Cross Country mild hybrid. To find our her reviews on this vehicle, visit her website and carcoachreports.com. Our next contributor is Brian Moody – Executive Editor of Auto Trader.com and KBB.com. He talks about the pro’s and con’s of having certain types of connectivity within your vehicle, like augmented reality to automated driving. As much as it sounds super futuristic and fun the question is how does the a.i. deal with moral decisions, in certain scenarios dealing in life or death situations? Brian also discusses warranties, from transfers, to paybacks. Read the fine print to find out all that your warranty offers, especially if you plan on selling it while still under warranty. To find out more visit him at www.kbb.com or at www.autotrader.com. Alan welcomes our next contributor Karl Brauer – Automotive Industry Analyst, Forbes Autos Contributor, North American Car and Truck of the Year juror and board member and Executive Analyst for ISeeCars.com. They discuss how augmented reality and and virtual reality are unavoidable. Slowly everything is turning into a Matrix. With that said, electric vehicles are trying to take over the world, we must ask ourselves who is really doing more harm to the planet. Emissions versus mining the earth for rare metals that later will be just a collection of unrecyclable materials from their batteries. Before Karl leaves, he gives us the top 10 vehicles that have a 20% chance or more to last up to 250,000 miles. To view the full list visit www.iseecars.com Closing the show today is contributor Ed Justice Jr. – Justice Brothers, Inc. President and CEO. He opens with how electric vehicles stocks have crashed after the pandemic high. As they keep trying to shove e.v’s down the throats of America, the same goes for the automakers. What happens if the people are just not interested in buying one? Ed feels, if you have to subsidize and throw in incentives to convince people to buy an electric vehicle, is it really a good product to begin with? Ed believes that hybrid is the way to go and suggests the listener to go onto YouTube to, “Ted Talks”, and find the episode, The Future is Eclectic. Like Toyota, Ed is not buying into the electric vehicles push. Join us on our next episode as Josh Hancock, George Kennedy III, Lauren Fix, and Brian Moody returns with more automotive news. Contributor Steven Cole Smith, Editor-in-Chief for Car Coach Reports is next and shares his test-driving experience with the Ford F150 Lightning. It’s fast and can tow a good payload, with a 320-mile range, It’s a nice drive, however, the downfall is you always have to calculate the miles, to make sure you have a charging station to get to and of course the beautiful price sticker of 80k. Onto the motorsports world; the Miami Grand Prix is coming up, NHRA, NASCAR and Formula 1 are all out and about as everyone is on the tracks right now. Closing the show is Contributor George Kennedy III, Co-founder of Cartender.com, and the Vice President of the New England Motor Press Association. He contributes to U.S. News & World Report, CarGurus, and Forbes Wheels. George test-drove the 2023 BMW M2. He said, “It’s a little awkward getting into the car, especially if you’re a ‘big’ guy.” The sides of the seat ‘box you in’ and the floor has a raised middle to which your legs fit snugly into. This helps eliminate movement when going around corners. Its power and lightning-quick response, make this coupe smooth and refined.  Elevated and Enhanced Performance, the 2024 Mazda CX90 Inline 6 Turbo SUV | #536 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:15

Alan welcomes back contributor and long time friend, BJ Killeen – Automotive Journalist and Voice of Reason. She delivers news from the auto industry, like the Kia Stinger is leaving the fleet – “A fun car to drive, and fast!” Kia will be making a tribute limited edition version, a thousand to be exact for sale worldwide. Next, Porsche is introducing its 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe, a third generation, redesigned, and offers 3 different drive trains. It promises driving pleasure on every terrain. At last, JLR, or Jaguar Land Rover, has rebranded itself to focus on the 4 sub brands, Range Rover, Discover, Defender, and Jaguar. They wanted to combine their house of brands to enhance the uniqueness of their character British marks. Up next, to deliver more auto news is another contributor and good friend Karl Brauer – Automotive Industry Analyst, Forbes Autos Contributor, North American Car and Truck of the Year juror and board member and Executive Analyst for ISeeCars.com. With what is happening in China, we are surprised to find out that the New 2023 Lincoln Nautilus SUV is being built there. Volvo, and Buick also have vehicles that are being made and shipped from China. With the government wanting 67% of the vehicles on the road to be electric by 2032, China holds the majority of the mines that host the minerals needed to build the batteries of said electric vehicles. Are we gonna destroy earth here to fulfill the supply and demand? Later Lauren Fix will share with us what she read in an article from China’s newspaper in regards to that. Karl and Alan switch topics to inquire about the top most recalled vehicle. Drum Roll! It’s the Tesla Model Y, in fact, Karl says the next top five slots, Tesla holds four of them, and Porsche takes the last spot. Study was taken over a 10 year span. Jumping in the hot seat next is Lauren Fix, Editor in-Chief for Car Coach Reports. Lauren is here to to share a little tidbit about tax credits and electric vehicles. If your electric vehicle is made in the U.S. you get a $3750 tax credit. If 40% or more of your battery for the E.V. is built here, you get the other $3750 tax credit. Sixteen new models are eligible for the new tax incentive. You can visit Laurenfix.com to review the list of eligible vehicles. Being that China owns 80% of the mineral mines, she had read in a Chinese Political newspaper that they plan to use the control of the earth minerals to squeeze the U.S. and the world to comply. They are planning an export ban on rare earth magnets and corner the market. Closing the show today with Alan is Brian Moody, Executive Editor of Auto Trader.com and KBB.com. Brian is here to let us know that the prices of used cars are slowly going up. However, he also brings us a list of three row SUV’s that are under twenty thousand. The 2016 Buick Enclave, comfortable SUV, 2014 Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, Yukon XL, look for an LT, Dodge Durango 2016, ford expedition 2014, Honda Pilot 2016, 2017 Mazda CX9, look for signature trim level, 2015 Nissan Armada, 2015 Toyota Highlander and the 2021 Nissan Rogue. Before Brian leaves, he shares that he test drove the new 2024 Mazda CX90 Inline 6 turbo. A nicely laid out three row SUV, Mazda offers alternative powertrain choices. It also has four modes to optimize its power delivery. Very nice ride. Well, that’s it for this episode, join us on the next episode as BJ Killeen returns along with Steven Cole Smith, George Kennedy III, and of course Brian Moody.  75th Anniversary for Jaguar as it Brings Sexy Back for its Last Spin, the Jaguar Type F R75 V8 Convertible Sports Car | #535 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:15

BJ Killeen – Automotive Journalist and Voice of Reason brings us news about the Biden administration tightening the noose around automaker’s necks. There is a new set of EPA Emissions standards that will force the automakers to make 67% of electric light-duty vehicles and 46% of medium-duty electric vehicles by 2032. They hope to ban gasoline engines and force people to buy electric vehicles. People can barely afford to buy cars now, it will only get worse. Electric Company says this is unrealistic due to a lack of infrastructure. BJ says you need to speak to your local representatives to stop the government from getting rid of gas engines. Up next is Brian Moody – Executive Editor of Auto Trader.com and KBB.com. He shares that the Chevrolet Camaro will be going away. GM’s last model will be released in 2024. It’s just not selling. Alan inquired if GM will still be responsible for replacement parts. Yes, they are obligated to continue to make parts for discontinued vehicles until the majority of their warranties for that particular car have expired. Before Brian takes his leave, he touches on the situation with the EPA Emissions. Reducing tailpipe emissions is the goal, however, it’s forcing the automakers to make more EVs. Which is why SEMA, is so important. They are the voices of the car enthusiast’s world. Brian says’s on the flip side of this, it keeps it sourced here in America. Lauren Fix, Editor-In-Chief for Car Coach Reports.com shares how the government’s ultimate goal is to make it illegal to drive a gas-powered vehicle. She says she speaks the truth when she recommends not buying an electric vehicle. Switching subjects, she informs us that it’s the 75th Anniversary for Jaguar, as the last of the F Type R75 gasoline-powered, V8 convertible sports car will be made. She won’t be surprised if they come back with an all electric version. As the evolution of cars continue, a new feature for automaker’s to continue to make money off of you, is after you have purchased your vehicle and or leased it, there will be subscriptions to use certain elements in your car. For example, BMW has a subscription for seat warmers. If you want to warm up, you have to pay and be a subscriber. Closing the show today is George Kennedy III – Co-founder of Cartender.com, and the Vice President of the New England Motor Press Association. He contributes to U.S. News & World Report, CarGurus, Forbes Wheels, and here on The Drive. He announces that the V6 echo diesel for Wrangler is no more, and how the 4XE is the best selling plug-in hybrid in America and will be the next sensible option. Switching gears, George shares a few tidbits of the New York Auto Show. Very impressed with the Genesis GV80 Coupe (concept) car. Though it doesn’t fit into the category of a coupe for George, he still feels it’s a sharp-looking vehicle. He was there for the impressive unveiling of the Lamborghini Revuelto Hybrid v12 super car. Join us for the next episode BJ Killeen, Karl Brauer, Lauren Fix and Brian Moody bring us more of what’s hot and what’s not in this ever evolving auto world.  The New York Auto Show: 2024 Kia EV9, 2023 Nissan GT-R, 2024 Subaru Cross-Trek Wilderness, Just To Name A Few | #534 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:15

Contributor BJ Killeen – Automotive Journalist and Voice of Reason kicks off today’s show with Alan as they discuss how people don’t want internal combustion engines to go away. Manufacturers like Ford and Toyota are looking at hydrogen being an answer instead of all-electric. Even Porsche is researching synthetic fuel as an option. BJ attended the New York Auto Show and shared that not too many concept cars were showcased. Ram showed their 2025 Ram 1500 Rev, Kia with their 2024 EV9, Subaru’s 2024 Crosstrek Wildnerness, and Genesis with their GV80 Coupe concept car. BJ liked the GV80 and says it’s a luxury car that doesn’t cost like one. Up next is Brian Moody – Executive Editor of Auto Trader.com and KBB.com. Brian also attended the New York Auto Show and was impressed with a handful of vehicles that were showcased. The 2024 Nissan GT-R TSpec, the 2024 Kia EV9, the Corvette E-Ray, Mustang’s Darkhorse, and of course the 2023 Dodge Demon 170. Not too many luxury vehicle manufacturers, just Genesis, Lexus, and Porsche. Before Brian makes his exit, he did however mention that as many people are jumping on the bandwagon to own the new 2023 Dodge Demon 170, he would rather have the 1970 Challenger, ‘The Black Ghost’. Why? Because it has a story behind it which makes the car what it is. Changing gears, Alan welcomes the President and CEO of Doge, Tim Kuniskis. The hot topic? The Dodge Demon 170 of course. Only 3300 of these are being made of which 300 will be dedicated to Canada. Alan shares that he read somewhere that someone is selling it for $500k over the window sticker price. Wow! Tim says, “it’s an amazing car, but it goes deeper than that.” Dodge’s goal was to cross over from the enthusiast, which many are Demon owners, to the mainstream. It’s called Brand Positioning. To capture an audience that wasn’t interested in cars before. To own the new Demon, before your car is even built, you have to sign an acknowledgment form. This form lets you know what your car is all about, the do’s and don’ts. The things that will break your warranty, and what you can do to add things on. Tim switches gears to talk about concerns that the value of the original Demon will go down, but that’s not what happens. Asking prices are increasing, it is an unintended consequence. People are wanting the original to go along with the new. As a perk, if you own the original you can match the VIN with the new Dodge Demon 170, and be the proud owner of 2 Demons. “It’s Domestic, Not Domesticated!”, Alan asks Tim what that means. “To sum it up, it’s a brotherhood of muscle cars. It’s what makes them stand above the rest. It’s about a team, about family.” Closing the show today is Steven Cole Smith, Editor-in-Chief for Car Coach Reports. Not too much going on in the motorsports world except for the Bristol race on Easter. The track gets filled up with dirt and should be a fun and interesting race. Alan announces that if you purchase a Dodge SRT, you may attend Radford Racing School for lessons on how to drive and handle your vehicle. Steven says he attended something similar at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta, where you can drive any of Porsche’s vehicles on their track. From drifting, climbing an “ice mountain”, to a good ole pedal to the metal race around the track. Well, that’s a wrap, thank you to all our contributors and special guests, and of course, our audience, see all you gear junkies on the next episode of, “The Drive.” [00:00:00] – Contributor BJ Killeen[00:07:23] – 2025 Ram 1500 Rev[00:13:00] – Genesis GV80 Coupe[00:20:52] – Contributor Brian Moody ...

President and CEO, he does a quick pit stop and shares his views on the new Dodge Demon and some news about the auto industry in Europe. In Brussels, Germany as of 2035, no I.C.E. (internal combustion engine) will be able to register. Germany, as the economic engine of Europe, shutting down its auto industry will kill the EU economy. If you want to follow Ed, you can visit www.edjusticejr.com or justicebrothers.com. Rolling into the hot seat next is Josh Hancock – JoshCAR Hollywood Car Consultant. He shares how F1 racing which has finally found an audience in the U.S. will have races in Las Vegas, Texas, and Miami. F1 drivers are revered in Europe, says Josh, however the younger generation here in the U.S. are taking on an interest as well. He also goes on to share with Alan about an upcoming show called ‘Rennervations’. Where Jeremy Renner, a movie star well known for his role as Hawkeye in the ‘Avengers’, will be going around the world with a team of highly skilled individuals and repurpose decommissioned buses and give them to communities in need. Must watch! Closing the show today with Alan is George Kennedy III, co-founder of Cartender.com, and the Vice President of the New England Motor Press Association. He’s a contributor to U.S. News & World Report, CarGurus, Forbes Wheels, and here on The Drive. He is here to talk about the 2022 GMC All Electric Hummer. This 9000 lb. beast, can ‘crabwalk’ right into your pocketbooks. For $108k, this freight train has 1000 horsepower, and 1200 ft-lbs of torque, and can go from 0-60 in 3 seconds. She attended the Amelia Island Concours, which is now operated by Hagerty, and was impressed with the 4 amazing auctions that generated over 178.4 million dollars – a new record in sales. Vehicles such as a 1962 Ferrari 250 GT, Ferrari Dino’s Pagani Zonda, 1966 Ferrari 250, a 2015 McLaren P1, and the 1935 Voison c25 Aerodyne, to name a few. You can walk, ride share, catch a bus, ride a bike, or drive your electric car. However, should you plan to leave the city, you need permission from your state officials. Up next in the driver’s seat for a quick spin is George Kennedy III, co-founder of Cartender.com, and the Vice President of the New England Motor Press Association. He contributes to U.S. News & World Report, CarGurus, Forbes Wheels, and here on The Drive. He test-drove the new stealth performance 2023 Ford Expedition. With its 440 horsepower, twin-turbo echo boost V6, it’s fast, smooth, and maneuvers with ease. Overall, a good fit, and ride. With George being a motorsports enthusiast, Alan switched topic and asked, “what race would YOU like to do?” “Desert racing,” is his reply. George says farewell as he and Alan reminisce about their experience in the ‘sandbox’. Bringing up the rear is Steven Cole Smith, Editor-in chief of Car Coach Reports. Steven shares a bit of controversy that happened at Daytona when Team Acura won by cheating. How? By rigging their computer to show that the tires were at legal racing pressure, when they weren’t. However, Honda Acura did not want to win that way, so they turned themselves in. NASCAR allowed them to keep the win and the Rolex’s but everything else was taken away. George says that motorsports racing is back at full force. People are coming back, sell out crowds are everywhere. Before George leaves, Alan inquires if he got to drive anything new. A Lexus R350 hybrid, and an Aston Martin DBX 707. Aston Martin’s massive SUV with 697 horsepower, was built strong, and was a lot of fun to drive. How much? A whopping $292k.  Pick Your Power | #530 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:15

Alan welcomes Ed Justice Jr. – Justice Brothers, Inc. President and CEO to start the show as they discuss the future of automobiles. Ed feels that no matter what the direction, sustainability seems to be the hot topic when it comes to the future. There is no ‘one’ solution to the problem says Ed. Contributor and friend George Kennedy III, Co-founder of Cartender and Freelance Automotive Journalist for CarGurus, Boston Globe, and U.S. News & World Report, For George, he believes hydrogen is the future. From decreasing the CO2 emissions and decarbonizing, the Industrial world is taking a close look at what can be done. George test drove the 2023 Mazda CX30. An engaging car, rewarding driving experience with lots of room. Only one problem, the infotainment system. Extremely unintuitive! Up next is BJ Killeen-Automotive journalist and Voice of Reason she’s here for a quick pit stop as share how Honda is coming out with a vehicle that is affordable. Without all the bells and whistles, the new Honda CRVLX is basic but affordable. Onto what was once was an affordable pony car, has become not so affordable the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse that starts off at $60k. It’s beautiful but not reachable for most. Closing the show is Brian Moody – Executive Editor of Auto Trader.com and KBB.com is here to share how the auto industry is changing up a bit.  Hybrids over Electric cars.  Factoid:  nearly 25% consider an electrified vehicle, twice as many look at a hybrid.  The rich or early adopters can afford electric vehicles. Like George, Brian believes that hydrogen is the future with 0 emissions. He shares a list of the top 10 electric vehicles that people consider buying, you can view the list on his website AutoTrader.com. (Link Below) Before he leaves, Brian says that “choice is the key to the future of automobiles”. Automakers know that customers want powertrain options, therefore, Ford and Toyota has changed their motto that conforms to carbon neutrality.  The 2023 Cadillac CT5 Blackwing makes you feel like you’re flying while the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid keeps you grounded | #528 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:20

Alan welcomes back long-time friend and contributor BJ Killeen – Automotive Journalist and Voice of Reason. Recalls! If you get a notice from the dealership that there is a recall on your vehicle, you must follow up and get it taken care of. It is usually a safety issue. BJ inquires if Alan watched the Super Bowl ads, so he didn’t miss out? His take, automotive commercials were a bit tasteless. Before BJ leaves she gets a little political as she announces that the Biden administration finally issued a rule that Tesla has to open up their supercharging stations to all-electric vehicles. To make it standardized for everyone. Alan questions what kind of kickback will Tesla get for all the money it invested to install these charging stations. Up next is Brian Moody – Executive Editor of Auto Trader.com and KBB.com stops by to share a few tidbits. The average transaction prices are down a bit, as luxury vehicles are in high demand. However, there are five vehicles that no one is buying but should. The Alfa Romero Julia Performance Sedan, Alfa Romero Stelvio SUV, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Jeep Gladiator, and the Infinity QX80. All great vehicles and over 77 plus days supply, which means you have a lot more time to get your hands on one of these. George Kennedy III – Co-founder of Cartender and Freelance Automotive Journalist for CarGurus, Boston Globe, and U.S. News & World Report, makes a pit stop to chat with Alan about physics and unpredictability when driving in snow and mud. The New England Motor Press association winter driving testing is on the hunt for the best vehicles. Winners will be announced sometime in April. George has a few favorites that were showcased such as the Ram 1500 Rebel, the Land Rover Defender 90 to the Subaru Outback which drives well in the winter weather and is great for the rest of the year as well. George says having the right tires on and ground clearance plays a big factor. George test-drove a Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid. There were a few things that George liked but, in comparison to its competitors, it doesn’t hold a candle. However, the Outlander drives “well enough”. Stellar interior and is good enough for a day-to-day drive. Wrapping up the show today with Alan is Stephen Cole Smith –  Editor in-Chief for Car Coach Reports. Daytona 500 is coming up and the two to watch out for are Alex Bowman and Kyle Busch. Stephen is more interested in seeing how the new race car is gonna hold up. Hopefully, with all the improvements made, this car will help make Daytona one hell of a race! So what has Stephen test driven lately? The 2023 Cadillac CT5 Blackwing. With a beautiful, smooth ride, 668 horsepower, and a manual transmission, this beauty takes you from 0-30 in just a few seconds. You’ll feel like you’re flying.  The Evolutionary 2024 Maserati Gran Turismo Gives You The Best of Both Worlds | #527 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:20

Lauren Fix – Editor-in-Chief for Car Coach Reports is back to share some insight on the World Economic Forum. They want to take away your right to have a vehicle. Perhaps even force you to ride share. They have a new member who is a Minister of State for Saudi Arabia, who has put into motion, the construction of a 20ft concrete wall around a city that will be self-sustainable. Evolution of urban life, all the while being environmentally friendly. Before Lauren takes her to leave, she reminds everyone to be extra cautious when buying a vehicle that is just too good to be true. Flood cars! Though the seller is supposed to inform you that the vehicle is a “flood car’, most don’t. Up next Alan welcomes Karl Brauer – Automotive Industry Analyst, Forbes Autos Contributor, North American Car and Truck of the Year juror, and board member and Executive Analyst for ISeeCars.com. The duo discusses the price cap that the legislation passed saying new cars can’t be sold over $55k and SUV’s to not go over $80k. With that being said Tesla dropped their prices by 20%. Ouch! for those who purchased a Tesla before the inflation reduction act. The gentlemen switch gears and talk about the 2024 Maserati Gran Turismo with 3 different types of drivetrains. Two gasoline-powered drivetrains with different horsepower and an electric. Having options is where it’s at! BJ Killeen – Automotive Journalist and Voice of Reason, joins Alan next as she shares her time at the 73rd Grand National Roadster show. Beautiful Roadsters were on display, nine to be exactly completed and Jack Chisenhall’s 1932 Black Roadster took the show along with a1960 Buick Invicta 401 Nailhead V8 with its beautiful lime green and crisp detail. So many beautiful vehicles covered the floor at the L. A. Fairgrounds. An amazing event! Closing the show with Alan is special guest Michael Austin – Senior Research Analyst at Guidehouse Insights. This is a market research firm that is that analyzes, studies, and reports insights into decarbonization. The future for them is figuring out how to create an infrastructure that will allow the vehicle to have grid hook ups. Having the vehicle gives the grid some of its power during peak hours to help with the overload. They are looking into starting it off by using fleets like school buses and commercial cars as they are centrally managed. Another topic they will be tackling is how to recycle the used batteries from electric vehicles. As the auto industry evolves, Guidhouse Insights want to stay ahead of the game with solutions to make things more efficient. Tech is great, just not when you’re driving and need to adjust the volume. “Good fuel economy because it’s a hybrid”, chimes Alan. Hybrids are the way to go! Closing the show is Steven Cole Smith – Editor In Chief of Car Coach Reports makes a pit stop to chat about the 24 Hour Daytona. Sixty one cars, and one hell of a race.  Move Over George Jetson as the Consumer Electronic Show 2023 Introduces the Aska A5. The “flying car” that is an electric VTOL | #523 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:15

BJ Killeen – automotive journalist and voice of reason welcomes the new year with Alan as they discuss the future of the automobile industry. They will both attend the CES in Las Vegas, the Consumer Electronic Show. Alan shared how Tesla has encountered a hiccup in their electric vehicles. The weather. The colder it is outside, the harder it is to charge. Manufacturers who claimed to be all-electric by a certain year may be changing that statement as time will show more faults in all-electric vehicles. Move over Jetson, here comes ASKA A5, the world’s first ‘flying car”. It will make its debut this year at CES, along with tons more new technology that will help improve life in general. From artificial intelligence that will allow you to pay for everything while you sit in the comfort of your vehicle on a see-thru tv screen mounted on your window. Alan shares how there is already a sensor that can monitor your blood pressure as you are driving to ensure you are up to par to be behind the wheel. Ed Justice Jr. –  Justice Brothers, Inc. President and CEO is up next with Alan as they continue on the subject of the life span of electric vehicles. Both gentlemen believe that internal combustion and hydrogen is the future. However, for now “hybrids” seem to be making less of a carbon foot print and Toyota seems to be in the lead when it comes to that. Mike Mansuetti – President of Bosch, North America is in the hot seat next as they discuss sensor technology and artificial intelligence. He introduces a new piece of technology called the, ride care companion, a new product to help like an Uber driver, to ride along with you.  Driver or occupant can feel more safe and secure. When asked the future of Bosch, Mike said they are wanting to create sustainable technology that will benefit man kind. To help consumers and customers move forward into the future. Paul Mitchell –  Chairman and President of Indy Autonomous Challenge makes a quick pit stop to share with Alan about what he’s bringing to CES. Ten teams, nine cars, all driving with artificial intelligence at speeds higher than 170 mph. It is only open to those attending CES. Paul understand that there will always be human drivers, however as technology advances so will the future of driving. Rick Kowalski – Director, Industry Analysis and Business Intelligence at Consumer Technology Association is up next. He has been with CES for over 16 years. This year they are expecting over 100.000 attendees and over 3200 companies to showcase their newest technology. Alan shares that he is a bit nervous about allowing artificial intelligence to be so incorporated in your everyday living. Rick explains that as scary as it seems, artificial intelligence can do things and see things that most humans are incapable of, especially in the medical field. Evolution in this industry continues to expand with improved experience. Alan closes the show today with BJ Killeen. What can you say about CES?  There is no place to be an enthusiast anymore.  Everything is turning to autonomous.  Artificial intelligence is slowly taking the place of humans in the front seat behind the wheel. Robots are taking over and Big Brother is here.  However they both believe SEMA will preserve the car hobby.   [00:00:00] – Contributor BJ Killeen[00:07:11] – The Jetsons[00:13:00] – Artificial Intelligence[00:20:52] – Contributor Ed Justice Jr. [00:30:30] – Car Rentals[00:37:23] – Contrarian View[00:43:43] – Special Guest Mike Mansuetti[00:51:26] – Ride Care Companion[00:56:44] – Special Guest Paul Mitchell[01:04:35] – Special Guest Rick Kowalski[01:13:57] – Improved Experience[01:21:06] – Contributor BJ Killeen
