In mere days, it is quite possible that the health care reform bill will be forced through, without an actual vote being taken on it. We'll be playing and discussing a clip from Brett Baier's interview with Obama on this very issue. We'll also be discussing the case of a man who was taken from his home in handcuffs and had his property taken by police, all without a warrant.
The San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel rejected two legal challenges by Sacramento atheist Michael Newdow, who said the references to God in the pledge and on our money are unconstitutional and infringe on his religious beliefs. We'll discuss what the original intent was behind the establishment clause and compare that to how it is abused now. We'll also discuss the case of a house church in Gilbert, Arizona not being permitted to have church meetings because of a city ordinance. Last but not least, we'll talk about the new McCain/Leiberman bill that seeks to legitimize indefinite detention.
The Republicans have decided to declare war on earmarks. What are they trying to accomplish by doing this? We'll also discuss the legalization of marijuana and how that movement is advancing in quite a few states.
Given that Iraq disallowed a whole party from being able to get on the ballot, can the election really be called legitimate? And how does ballot access in Iraq stack up to ballot access in America? We'll also discuss whether or not Israel is effectively the 51st state, in light of Joe Biden's visit there.
ATF and Customs agents seized a shipment of Airsoft guns, which fire only plastic BB's, and claimed the guns could be converted to real guns with "minimal effort". They are liars and idiots. We'll also talk about the Chicago gun case going to the Supreme Court, as well as what went on during a couple of precinct conventions here in Texas during the primary election
Interesting question: Is America a failed state? Or do we have a few years left of being a viable force in the world? We'll also cover the health care sham. I found an interesting piece in the Wall Street Journal comparing the Senate bill, House Bill, what Obama proposed on Sept. 9, 2009, and what he proposed three days ago. So what do we make of all this? Hard to tell since there's not a final version yet, but we know where they want to go with it by looking at the four versions side by side.
After having won the CPAC straw poll for the last three years, Mitt Romney has been dethroned. Neocons are understandably not happy about this. In other news, Scott Brown votes for the Harry Reid jobs bill and solidifies his RINO credentials. Also, Iran wants to build two more nuclear enrichment plants in the side of a mountain. This of course does not help the situation already going on.
A man named Joseph Stack burned his house down and then flew a small airplane into a 7 story building in Austin, TX today. We'll cover this, as well as further developments in the Glenn Beck vs. Debra Medina saga. Medina was interviewed by Mark Davis today and distanced herself from 9/11 truthers once and for all. Glenn Beck then played that audio and STILL found a way to make fun of her.
Glenn Beck had Debra Medina on his radio show and the interview went, shall we say, badly. Glenn claims he got tons of emails saying Debra is a 9/11 truther, which is weird because that's never been a term used to describe her. So did Glenn try to attack Debra Medina? Or was it a fair question to ask? We'll take your calls and see what YOU have to say about this.
Obama's first State of the Union address was delivered last night and there's lots to talk about. More central planning, more spending our way out of recession, and even abuse of the executive order power. Join us as we discuss these issues!
There's a guy on Youtube named Mark Dice who goes around with these wacky petitions to see how many stupid people will sign on. Turns out, many Americans want to repeal the 1st amendment right to free speech. Obama will deliver the state of the union address tomorrow. What will he mention in the speech? How will he spin his first year in office? How will he explain away the huge deficits we are running?
Join us as we welcome Joe Petronis, who is running for Congress in TX-10 against incumbent Michael McCaul. We'll ask him what he stands for and why he's a better choice than the incumbent. We'll also talk about the Supreme Court decision today on McCain-Feingold, and the story about Bible verses on the military's guns.
Scott Brown has just a few short hours before he finds out if he pulled it off. So who is Scott Brown anyway? What does he stand for? Can we count on his vote to be against Obamacare? We learned yesterday that Debra Medina, Republican running for governor in Texas against Kay Bailey Hutchison and Rick Perry, will be included in the upcoming Belo Corp debate. Is a Scott Brown win a precursor to a Debra Medina win in Texas?
Join us as we discuss what went on at the first Texas Gubernatorial primary debate of the year between Debra Medina, Rick Perry, and Kay Bailey Hutchison. The consensus seems to be that Debra Medina walked away with a huge win in that debate. What do YOU think? We'll take your calls as they come in.
Harry Reid spews some racist comments in private, and it then becomes public. Should he be held to the same standard as Trent Lott? We've got some info about the explosive the Underwear Bomber used. It's interesting stuff. Should sex offenders be locked up for the rest of their lives? Gay marriage case hits the Supreme Court. Let's get into the Constitution on this one! Last but not least, a man gathers signatures for a petition supporting more inflation. We're not kidding!
