We will be talking about whether the Republicans and Tea Party can make a difference in the MidTerms. John Jay Meyers, Libertarian candidate for the House in TX 32 will also drop in on us. He's running against Pete Sessions.
Almost three years into this economic recession/depression, can we honestly say the government has helped the situation? Do our leaders even know what they are doing? We'll discuss the current crisis in light of economic downturns of the past, and we'll outline the true path to economic recovery.
It's been a tough few days for the tea party crowd since Rand Paul's comments on civil rights. Judging from the comments on the Huffington Post, the libs are all mouthing a collective "I told you so", referring to the racism they see as inherent in the tea parties. Is this just the Left playing the race card, or is much of this being made an issue simply because people don't understand natural rights? We'll also talk a bit about Arizona cracking down on teachers with heavy accents.
Tuesday's primaries were a blow to the political establishment. Specter lost, and Rand Paul won handily in Kentucky. We'll look back at Specter's career, and we'll discuss Rand Paul's platform and the Democrat's recent attack saying he's racist. We'll also talk about North Korea threatening war if they are punished for sinking a ship, as well as Arizona power companies saying they'll cut off power to California if the boycotts don't end.
Is the Arizona immigration law racist? Will it lead to profiling, and is profiling racist? Do you know what the term "racist" means? And in an ironic twist, it seems California already has a law on the books that is very similar to the Arizona law. We'll also talk about a recent Supreme Court ruling that held that certain prisoners can be held after their sentence is over. What could the possible downside be?
The budget deficit for the month of April turns out to be almost three times what was projected. Will government cut back on spending? Los Angeles city council voted to boycott Arizona. This is unconstitutional, and we'll tell you why. Also, we'll talk about Arizona's ban on ethnic studies in schools, as well as Attorney General Eric Holder's desire to not Mirandize a citizen if they commit a terrorist act.
