Love this song.
CC Gibson Scruggs
Red Wing on my Ramsey Student. A little rough, but not bad. Recorded on my Zoom H4n.
Love this song by Gary Brewer.
Another favorite.
A flatpick guitar break I thought up.
Part 1 of my banjo lesson for Shuckin' the Corn. It's been 8 months that I have tried to learn the banjo. May 2014 to January 2015.
First break played like Ron Stewart, 2nd break with a melodic lick.
Train on the Island Sample
Louis Collins
A little bit of Roll In My Sweet Baby's Arms played on a 70's Gibson RB250 belonging to Jerry Rabun, aka xnavyguy. It has a Tony Pass Rim in it and an unusual bridge made of birch plywood with a bubinga cap that Jerry had Steve Davis build for him. Aside from the unusual (oddball) materials, Jerry also had Steve shift the string slots off center towards the treble side. Our theory here is that the shifted string slots result in a more pronounced note attack.
A D tune. Recorded by Melvin Wine. I learned it from Pete Sutherland.
This is a version of the Richard Thompson tune recorded in 2003 by my band "The Resonators" out of Boston, MA. Just myself, Dick Webb on guitar and Jim Gordon on mandolin. Enjoy.
This is instrumental version of the famous song. I played it on the custom-made short-scale banjo. I hope you enjoy it a bit. Thank you!
