Had Steve Davis build me a custom compensated bridge out of some cheap Home Depot birch cabinet plywood with a bubinga cap. I asked him to also move the compensation profile and string slots toward the treble side of the bridge. This recording, made January 14, 2015 is that bridge, mounted on my 1973 RB-250. Drum Dial head tension at 91. Tony Pass Lost Timbre rim. Standard WK top-frosted head.
These two tunes also are the names for the tuning they use, also called Old G tuning, which I've been studying this month. I'm tuned a step down to fCFCD. I'm finding that some tunes work well in this tuning, some work okay, and others don't work well at all!
