Attention Reggae Artist Trademark your Stage name Or Loose | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:08:00

GINO from iration Reggae explain how important  it is for an artist  to regist his/her stage name  The business of entertainment is easily one of the most complex businesses one will encounter. This is due primarily to the fact that it is a business that involves the production and commercial distribution of various types of media content (sound recordings, films, games etc) as well as the rendering of performance services. These activities are typically executed through relationships between a number of persons with rights and an interest in the proceeds of the eventual outcome. The rights involved are generally governed by a mixture of contractual agreements and statutory provisions such as those covered by Copyright Law and the Law of Trademarks.(Lloyd Stanbury ) You need a service mark! A trademark and a service mark are two different things. Trademarks are for goods, like clothing etc. Service marks are for services, like  a reggae peroforming on stage.this is one of the most important things you possess as an artist ... the service of your stage name . www.crsradio.com caribbeanradioshow.com 661-467-2407

King Lorenzo was born in St Ann, his talent for singing was recognized from a tender age as he performed in school, sound systems and hotels all over Jamaica under the name Parson Man. Gifted with a pure and exceptional voice, he caught the attention of reggae fans worldwide. After winning one of Jamaica’s biggest singing competition, Red Label Reggae Cable, he started recording for Barry O’Hare on the X-Rated label since then Lorenzo has recorded for different labels such as Stone Love, Big Ship, Jet Star, Irie Ites, Reality Sound to name a few. After releasing several singles and also featured on many compilation CDs and other projects over the years, his first solo album Movin’Ahead was released in December 2009. This long-awaited album has been a treat for fans everywhere and received excellent reviews. His second album, STRONGER has just been released and is getting great feedback. King Lorenzo has performed on most of the major festivals all over the world and is renown for his charisma and energetic stage performances.“Music is universal and powerful. With so much negativity around the world my music is my contribution towards making our world a better place.”   Norris Man Born and raised in the notorious Trenchtown and Arnett Gardens area of Kingston, Jamaica, Christopher Campbell, now known as Norris Man had Bob Marley as a hometown hero to inspire his immersion into the musical arena. As a young boy Norris Man (named because of his enthusiasm for karate king Chuck Norris) would sit under a tree to write his own songs of redemption. Feeling music within him, Norris could not ignore his gift of singing and performing. In the Kingston dancehalls of his youth, older sound boys would hoist ten year-old Norris on top a Guiness box and hand him the mic to stir up the dance. Such experiences lit the musical fire for this ghetto youth. From there his musical journey began.

LRFF is working to solve climate change and lost resources by restoring the tropical forests in the "lungs of the world".  Climate change is our continuing topic. It's being caused by human activity not volcanoes, solar activity or a universal conspiracy. This is a platform for everyone to tell us your views on cc, ask questions about this most important issue. The majority of people are very uninformed about cc because it has become unmentionable in the mainstream media.  Talking about it is the first step to solving it.  As always great roots and culture music plus interesting Caribbean news and events.  Give us a call, get involved!  A Godfather of Reggae Music Alvin “Seeco” Patterson | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:44:00

Alvin “Seeco” Patterson was the percussionist in Bob Marley and the Wailers, and one of Marley’s closest confidants and friends. Although known to the world as “Seeco”, he was in fact born Francisco Pep, in Havana, Cuba, on December 30, 1930 to a Jamaican father and Panamanian mother. He took Alvin Patterson as a stage name, and acquired the nickname “Seeco” as a bastardisation of his birth name Francisco. He was also referred to at times as “Willy Pep” As a child,  As a young man, Patterson found work as a bauxite miner. In 1957, Patterson attempted to emigrate to the United States in search of better work. In the midst of his move, however, the historic Kendal train crash occurred in Jamaica on September 1st, prompting Patterson to return to the island to seek out relatives he feared might have been among the nearly 200 dead and 700 injured. His plans to emigrate were then permanently put on hold, and he returned to Kingston, and to the life of a Bauxite miner. It was around this time that Patterson first met a teenage Bob Marley, who was fifteen years Patterson’s junior, and living in the same Trench Town slums. Marley took note of Patterson because of his famed cricket bowling abilities, and began to follow Patterson around, in search of both cricket skills, and likely also a fatherly figure. As the Wailers rose in prominence on the scene, Patterson was thrown from the room and lost his Jamaican shoes in the process. When Marley returned to the island some weeks later, he convinced Patterson to give up mining, and to begin working in music more regularly. As a result, Patterson began to contribute percussion tracks to a number of Wailers cuts. His first known contribution was on the June, 1967 session which produced “Lyrical Satyrical I” and “This Train”, and was released on the Wailers’ own Wail N Soul M label
