Happy Birthday Jamaica Jamaica independence Day Celebration | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:59:00

In February 1962, a new constitution was approved by the Legislation and the Premier Norman Manley called General Elections. Alexander Bustamente was elected in April and became the first Prime Minister of Jamaica. “On August 6, 1962, Jamaica became an independent nation and a member of the British Commonwealth”.Jamaica becoming an independent nation now meant that Britain, no longer controlled the affairs of the country. It was now the responsibility of the newly elected Prime Minister and the locally elected Cabinet.Independence also meant that a constitution, symbols, emblems, an army, Jamaican currency and passports had to be developed for the country. As an Independent nation, Jamaica assigns Ambassadors overseas who represent the country. They sign treaties on behalf of Jamaica and become members of various international organisations. This is important as it gives Jamaica equal rights on various issues relating to international trade, policies and treaties.Every year on August 6, (previously first Monday in August), Jamaicans celebrate the removal of our dependence on Britain to control specific functions of the country. At this time we also honour all those persons who were responsible for the transfer of power.  #Reggae, #Deejay (Jamaican), #Ragga, #Roots reggae, #Dub plate, #Rocksteady, #Lovers rock, #Reggaeton, #Music of Jamaica, #Dancehall, #Tarrus Riley, #jamaica #Gentleman, #Buju Banton, #Beenie Man, #Vybz Kartel, #Sizzla, #Busy Signal, #Damian Marley, #Capleton, #Shaggy , #Mr. Vegas, #Sean Paul, #Stephen Marley (musician), #Ziggy Marley, #Sean Kingston, #Pitbull , #Bob Marley, jamaicansmusiccom, alborosie official page, bereshammond, oliver samuels, etana . www.crsradio.com  festival song www.caribbeanradishow.com 661-467-2407

Ellyn Dye is an Author, Intuitive Coach, Public Speaker, Reconnective Healing® practitioner, and Practical Mystic. A Near-Death Experience (NDE) in 1985 expanded her psychic abilities and created a link with some very loving—and humorous—Guardians of humanity and the ancient wisdom.  She has over 30 years’ accumulated wisdom and understanding of metaphysics, life on earth, and Who We Really Are. Through Intuitive Coaching, she empowers people to consciously become the Magnificent Creators that they are. It is there for all of us; it is part of all of us. Her CD, Journey Through the Tunnel of Light, provides a description of her NDE and a guided journey through the Tunnel of Light to experience the unconditional Love and Joy of Home—and bring that back to planet earth. Ellyn is the author of the metaphysical fantasy novel, The Search for the Crystal Key—an adventure about believing in yourself and the power of Love; and she is currently writing a new book, Creating Heaven on Earth. . . One Soul at a Time; A How-To Manual for Ushering In the Golden Age, from the Perspective of a Near-Death Experience, that discusses the Great Shift we are undergoing and how we can navigate through these amazing, challenging, changing times. The most important things Ellyn learned from “dying” are that: 1) God does not judge us; judging is a human trait, and God only loves us unconditionally; 2) we are not flawed, limited beings; we are Divine Powerful Beings, parts of God that live on past the death and separation of the body; and 3) we are the creators of this world, and if we stop pretending that we are separate, powerless victims, and take responsibility for what we are creating, we can, in fact, create Heaven on Earth.Find out more about Ellyn, her NDE, her coaching, and her books, calendars, and CDs at www.LionMagic.com. www.crsradio.com www.caribbeanradioshow.com  661-467-2407

Coming to you live from Costa Rica and brought to you by the La Reserva Forest Foundation (LRFF). We invite you to participate in this most interesting and interactive show by calling in or participating in the "green" chat room. LRFF is working to solve climate change and lost resources by restoring the tropical forests in the "lungs of the world".  Climate change is our continuing topic. It's being caused by human activity not volcanoes, solar activity or a universal conspiracy. This is a platform for everyone to tell us your views on cc, ask questions about this most important issue. The majority of people are very uninformed about cc because it has become unmentionable in the mainstream media.  Talking about it is the first step to solving it.  As always great roots and culture music plus interesting Caribbean news and events.  Give us a call, get involved! When we are ignorant or devoid of the understanding of Knowing, and that knowing being defined as having the power to communicate and create nothing into something. One trait of the ignorant is to parade itself in front of the wise.
