This time review a Carter favorite (or favourite) Lupin 3rd. Oddly enough this "movie" is actually just two of the TV show episodes smacked together on a VHS (or for us a rip to mkv). So I came into this with the wrong assumption but it was soon remedied when the plot changed drastically. Heres another small / short anime review that will hopefully tide you guys over till we do our K-On! review in the coming weeks. We decided to pick a hard one to discuss, Paprika. A psychological thriller from the creators of Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers. Hey we're still alive, see I wasn't lying. So this is just to tide you over till our Haruhi review (which we did record but will need to re-record it cause it just isn't up to my standards). This episode is all about our trip to Anime Expo 2009 in Los Angeles which a lot of you donated to help get us there! We review this award winning anime OVA, we have mixed feelings on this one which makes for a pretty interesting conversation. Its quite long but we pinpoint the good and bad points in this anime movie that comes in both DVD and BluRay versions. We go back in time to the 80s, not to mess up the past like Marty, but instead to review this buried treasure called Windaria. Its a mix of Shakespeare as well as a multitude of things, you won't be able to find it in store under this name but instead its American remake called "Once Upon A Time" which changed the plot. What a mouthful, this week we take a look at the short OVA that accompanies the bluray version of Advent Children. This is a prequel to Advent Children and tries to explain somethings about the small child in FF7, Denzel. Its been a while but we decide to review this classic anime movie by acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki, one of the most influential anime directors in Japan. The movie was pretty ahead of its time in terms of both technical and analytical aspects of anime movies. This time we review "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" an anime based off a novel written well over 50 years ago. A pretty big budget anime movie that conveys its plot points in a very complex manner to create a very interesting and unique story. This week we watch a fan-sub that was also retouched by the fans. To-Y (Pronounced "toy") was released in 1987 and is one of those under the radar animes. One so under the radar that if you were to look for an original copy of the movie, that chances are that you'd have to spend over a grand for one. Luckily for us, fans have subbed and touched up a copy thus preserving this anime.
