July 31, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 2 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers wrapping up their first four days of 2023 training camp practices and how the team has a bust schedule starting on Tuesday that includes them putting the pads on for the first time. We start this show off by going over the heath of the team with four training camp practices now in the books and Monday being an off day. We also go over the roster moves made since the Friday episode and make sure to address the running back the team is reportedly bringing in Monday for a tryout. The signing of veteran inside linebacker Kwon Alexander is one of the recent transactions made by the Steelers so Alex and I discuss his fit with the team and possible place on the depth chart. We go over potential playing time in the defense for alexander and the impact his addition may have on second year inside linebacker Mark Robinson. With Alex being at training camp for the first four days, we go over several of main takeaways from the practices. We discuss offensive line rotation on Sunday, safety Kenny Robinson making plays, and how rookie outside linebacker Nick Herbig is doing early on at Saint Vincent College. July 28, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 1 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers 2023 training camp practices getting underway on Thursday at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. Steelers team president Art Rooney II and general manager Omar Khan both discussed the future of head coach Mike Tomlin on Thursday, so we review what both had to see on that matter. Khan held a press conference on Thursday and that produced quite a few talking points worth of Alex and me covering. Khan was asked about the running back Najee Harris and the position market on Thursday, so we discuss what he had to say on that topic. We also go further and discuss whether Harris might produce drama related to his contract situation after the 2023 season is over with. We go over the possibility of Harris signing an extension next summer. That comes on the heels of Mike Florio of Pro football Talk recently saying that he expects Harris to take a stand next summer should he play well in 2023. Khan also discussed the depth the Steelers currently have at the center and inside linebacker positions, so Alex and I make sure to chime in on those topics and other comments made. With one training camp practice now in the books for 2023, Alex quickly reviews some key things he observed on Thursday and what he will be looking for during Friday's practice. We also discuss Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffering some sort of a calf injury on Thursday. In this Wednesday night morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers reporting to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA earlier in the day for the start of their annual training camp. Alex and I talk about the Steelers finally signing rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. on Tuesday. We also discuss it being a great offseason to date and how the team enters camp without any players on the PUP list or any others needing contracts. It doesn’t appear as though Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will get a contract extension this offseason, so Alex and I discuss that Wednesday news. We also discuss what Tomlin had to say about his contract situation during his Wednesday press conference. Steelers running back Najee Harris discussed the poor running back market upon his arrival at training camp on Wednesday, so we make sure to discuss that. We also go over what Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett had to say on Wednesday. A few other players also had things to say on Wednesday so we cherry pick a few comments they made to discuss. My pre-training camp 53-man roster prediction was posted on Wednesday, so Alex and I review it quickly later in the show.
