Welcome back to Open Metalcast, bringing you the best in Creative Commons Licensed Metal Music. I am the host of the Club Metal portion of the podcast and today we have a special guest. We worked hard to set up this interview over space and time and I am delighted to be able to present to you an interview with none other than the band Patient Zero. You might not know them now but in the future. your future. this is a big deal. Let's just say that we're lucky to have this chance to speak with a classical artist such as himself. I apologize in advance for the transmission quality but because of the extreme time delay, causality, and the price of using The Time Phone it is the best we can do. So without further delay here is our interview with Patient Zero. Enjoy! Track listing after the break: Track Listing: * I Never Cared from Diabolus Ex Machina (BY-NC-SA) * High Tech Low Life from the forthcoming album: Cyber Psychosis * Eins from Curse and Regret (BY-NC-SA) We’d like to thank Patient Zero for taking the time to talk with us on Open Metalcast. We spend some time talking about Sway, Kanye West and Steve Harvey. We got a call from a new fan who happens to be a cable guy discussing some crazy experiences he's had with customers. During hour 2, we get a call from another fan who may or may not go to school at Doritos University. We discuss the Grammy Award nominees and wrap up the show by walking Bob Dylan up to the stage.  METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #237 - The Most Famous Person Noa's Ever Banged | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:06:45

We began the show with an unpleasant view of Rob's third butt-cheek (NSFW video below). We also read some Dave Mustaine tweets to see what he's thankful for this Thanksgiving. We also spent a good amount of time talking about the Lostprophets frontman, Ian Watkins and his absurd case of baby rape. Also, in honor of the fifth night of Channukah, throughout the show, callers played Jew or Goy, where callers were told a musician and had to decide if they were Jewish or not. Here is this week's playlist: Noctum – Deadly Connection Ephel Duath – Tracing The Path Of Blood Anthrax – I'm The Man Exivious – One's Glow (Please note: On this episode, the audio doesn't start until :45 seconds into the clip for some reason) Listen to the Metal Injection Livecast on Stitcher or on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well).  Open Metalcast Episode #85: Timey wimey, wibbley wobbly stuff. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 38:15

Rushing to get this episode out the door because the night I normally have to get the episode put together will be full of me catching the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who on the big screen. No spoilers, please. But what we do have is an episode chock full of some amazing artists starting with the anticipated release of the new Cryogen album "Continuum" (which is quickly becoming a favorite here). We've also got music from Desvirginizagore, Aborym, Rejekts, Soundcrafters, CEMENTERIO, One Paper Left, Digger, and Vampire Squid. You might say this episode is bigger on the inside, but you won't need to be the President of Galifrey to… OK, OK, I'll stop now.  METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #236 - Party Pooper | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:02:49

This Livecast was packed. Fudge packed! Noa returned from touring with Jake and Periphery. Jake was also on air and brought some friends, Justin and Brian from the band Vestascension. We talked about the tour, pranks on the road, pooping on the road, pooping at parties, lots of poop and semen talk… the Livecast at it's best. At one point, Rob busts his chair (pictured) which leads to multiple giggles. Here is this week's playlist: Vestascension – Track 10 Seventh Seal – Black Skies Jake Bowen – Angry God Listen to the Metal Injection Livecast on Stitcher or on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well).  METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #235 - Sanctifying The Peen (Out of the Shmata) with Glen Benton of DEICIDE | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:04:45

We were so excited to have the legendary Glen Benton of Deicide call into the show. Glen was in rare form, talking about how the inverted cross etched to his forehead gets him through everyday life, giving up drinking and smoking, his dislike for boxed wine, touring with Wu-Tang Clan and more. Sean was back for another week and we talked about disgraced Toronto mayor Rob Ford, Sean talked about meeting Mitt Romney, weight loss and Michael Richard's racism. We ended to show with a call from longtime Livecast listener and Saudi transplant Niyazi calling in and suggesting guests for the show.  Open Metalcast #84: The Wave of the Voyage | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 39:03

One of the items that the Voyager 1 Spacecraft sent along with it on its voyage outside of our solar system was a gold-plated. It's probably the only gold compilation album in existence trhat features Mozart, Chuck Berry, and indigenous music from across the globe. Plus it has a wicked B-side that shows aliens how to find us should they be able to figure out the code. Luckily your computer should be able to figure out the bits that make up the latest Open Metalcast show so you won't need to figure out some alien recording technology to make it work. And rather than indigenous music from across the globe you'll be able to hear music from Ceremonial Castings, KROM, Kain, Machina, Taste of Hell, Longed for Fusion, Gutteral Slug, Extincion, and Electric Frankenstein. Plus you'll be able to hear it long before any alien intelligence will be able to hear that record no matter how slow your modem is. Shownotes follow: * (00:10) Reborn Through the Bestial Flame by Ceremonial Castings from Immortal Black Art (BY-NC-ND) * (07:22) Reacharound Rambo by KROM from Chaotic Evil (BY-SA) * (10:14) Marionetas by Kain from Revelaciones (BY-NC-ND) * (14:47) A síndrome de Nerón by Machina from A síndrome de Nerón (BY-NC-SA) * (18:24) Rotten inside by Taste of hell from Demo 2007 (BY-NC-ND) * (21:40) Dreamers Reality by Longed for Fusion from We´ll never decay (BY-NC-ND) * (27:01) Isolated Insanity by Guttural Slug from Megalodon (BY-NC-ND) * (30:13) Marcha Fúnebre by EXTINCION from O Martelo da Morte (BY-NC-ND) * (35:13) Injected by Electric Frankenstein from Dead and Back (BY-NC-SA) Please support the bands in this show!  METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #234 - Peek-A-Boo Pee Pee with David Vincent of MORBID ANGEL | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:01:57

David Vincent of Morbid Angel called into the show this week, discussing the 20th anniversary of the band's landmark CD, Covenant, playing to younger crowds, his industrial musical tastes, his lack of interest in Chromeo and in religion. Sean returns to the show this week and sits in as we discuss the girl who wouldn't run a race because she was assigned the number 666 and that interferes with her "relationship with God," heavy metal Christmas sweaters and the owner of Pinkberry's weird arrest. The gang (except for Rob) take turns shitting on Ghost as well. Here is this week's (mostly) Sean-picked playlist: Burning Love – Destroyer of Worlds Galactic Cannibal – Hate Everything More Enabler – Mercenary Code Orange Kids – Around My Neck // On My Head Birds in Row – Colossus Cerce – Weary The Armed – Bloat Listen to the Metal Injection Livecast on Stitcher or on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well).  METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #233 - Vegma with Paolo from TRIVIUM | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:06:33

Paolo Gregoletto of Trivium called into this week's show. He answered fan questions, explained the proper way to pronounce his name and talked about his grandmother catching Trivium live in Italy. He wasn't our only guest caller. MetalGF, the girlfriend of MetalSucks co-editor Vince Neilstein, surprised use with a call, and told a tale of Rob walking through Frank's screen fence. We also learned what "vegma" means, contemplated Jason Newsted's solo career and Sid made the most disgusting joke ever involving Lemmy and James Hetfield. Here's this week's playlist: Trivium – Incineration: The Broken World Black Breath – Sentenced to Life Judas Priest – Metal Meltdown Enabler – Speechless Listen to the Metal Injection Livecast on Stitcher or on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well).  Open Metalcast Episode #83: Highly Cototient Prime Numbers | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:21

When looking up the number 83 on Wikipedia for the 83rd episode of Open Metalcast, I ran across some number facts. Apparently "83 is the sum of three consecutive primes (23 + 29 + 31) as well as the sum of five consecutive primes (11 + 13 + 17 + 19 + 23)." It's also a highly cototient number. What does that mean? Hell if I know, but I do know this episode has some highly charged metal to detonate inside your ear canals. We've got music from Beta Decay, The Rinn, Ceremony of Darkness, Lost Lands, Obsolete Theory, new Project: Roenwolfe, The Exiled, and Uboa to help with that tinnitus problem you may be having, plus some excellent Prog Rock from elevii to close out the show. (Just think of it as math core with flutes. ;) ) * (00:11) Body of Habit by Lost Lands from Lost Lands -Body of Habit (BY) * (03:29) The Wraith Beyond by Obsolete Theory from The Wraith Beyond (BY-NC-ND) * (06:44) Sentience by The Exiled from Break The Chains EP (BY-NC-ND) * (11:09) The Trader of Pain by Project: Roenwolfe from Neverwhere Dreamscape (BY-NC-ND) * (16:14) The Rinn – Voices by The Rinn from Voices from the past (BY-NC-ND) * (20:00) Apocalypse by Beta Decay from Shadows in the night (BY-NC-SA) * (23:52) Decay by Ceremony of Darkness from Flesh of the Witch (BY-NC-SA) * (28:09) I Will Choke You Until You Like It by Uboa from Jouissance (BY-NC) * (37:40) Candela by elevi from elevii (BY-NC-ND) Please support the bands in this show!  METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #232 - Darren's Pretzels with Rody Walker of PROTEST THE HERO | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:07:10

Rob kept trying to eat Darren's pretzels this edition of the Livecast. Also, Rob is not able to comprehend the time that the Livecast airs, constantly getting it wrong. Rody Walker of Protest The Hero joins the show to talk to his fans, discuss the band's new album, Volition (streaming here) and to talk movies. We also honor Lou Reed's finest metal achievements in light of his unexpected death. Here is this week's playlist: Protest The Hero – Skies Keelhaul – Some Day Some Other Place Lou Reed & Metallica – The View Listen to the Metal Injection Livecast on Stitcher or on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well).
