Metal Injection Podcasts

It's been one of those weeks here at the Open Metalcast Headquarters where you have to wonder "what next?". It's enough to make you feel like a chicken with your head cut off. Though with the amazing Creative Commons metal music in this episode it's more like the chicken had its head ripped clean off; especially with the likes of power-metalers Noble Beast and Twilight Messenger leading the way. Not far behind though is a new track from Headwires, and the long-awaited new album from Galactic Pegasus. Then the darker tones of Fenris, the crushing heaviness of Victim of Depravity, and the brutal Cementerio wrap up the episode before a long-awaited and very overdue return of the prog-metal master Lascaille's Shroud with an opus that was successfully funded on Indiegogo (why didn't anyone tell us about this? Argh!) It's an episode more loaded with metal than last Thanksgiving's turkey. We thought we were going to get a call from Jeff Wood of SHAT, but he bailed, so instead we played a bunch of SHAT tunes. We also remembered late GWAR frontman, Dave Brockie aka Oderus Urungus, who was one of our favorite guests of all time. Darren discussed problems upgrading to Windows 8.1, we talked about Courtney Love's talent or lackthereof, and commenters who get mad on Metal Injection, including our infamous Dave Mustaine post from earlier this week. My least favorite "holiday" of the year is when Daylight Savings Time happens. For no apparent reason most of the known world decides to arbitrarily shift their clocks one hour ahead. This results in me losing an hour of sleep which makes me rather angry. And when I get angry there's nothing I want more than a bunch of metal music blaring in my ears. Which, coincidentally this episode delivers with artists like Colosso, Carnivora, Muldjord, Allochiria, Iskra, and Sun Worship. It also welcomes the return of favorites Galactic Pegasus and PLATZDARM. But lest we stay angry there's Оргия Праведников to pull us back. And while I will reluctantly spring forward with the rest of the world don't expect me to be all happy about it.
