METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #291 - Mastering is Such A Planet with Jason Suecof | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

We kicked off the show debating if the moon was a planet or a star (it's a satellite). We then discussed the recent controversy between Sumerian Records and an unsigned band. The great Jason Suecof of Audiohammer Studios was our special guest this week. Jason talked his joke band, Crotchduster, his production work, living around bears in Florida and just what the hell mastering is. In hour two, we discussed clips of Nancy Grace's hilarious interview with 2Chainz & a piece of advice from the Steve Harvey show. Noa asked the guys for some advice with her love life, and the guys provided some sound feedback. We end the evening with a spirited argument about the show Broad City. Here's this week's playlist: Crotchduster – Mammal Sauce Capharnum – Fracture Deicide – Dead By Dawn Listen to the Metal Injection Livecast on Stitcher or on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well). We briefly touch on the news coming out of Paris before moving on to discussing metal topics like the Lamb of God fan suing Live Nation, the fan who got stabbed at the Cattle Decapitation show and Rage Against the Machine being banned in Arizona schools. We also discussed last week's revelation, squirting, and the rapper who was in a long term relationship with a girl who he eventually finds out is his cousin.  Open Metalcast Episode #108: Remembering Legends | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 35:57

This week not only marked the 10th anniversary of Dimebag Darerel's death (which seems like it was only yesterday) but also the passing of one of the legends of video games: Ralph Baer. Were it not for the innovations of both Dimebag and Ralph Baer the world would never have known the amazing music of Pantera, and the video game industry as we know it might never have happened. What does this have to do with the show? Not a damn thing but as someone who grew up on games and metal it felt important enough to mention. What this episode does have though is some of the finest Creative Commons metal the net has to offer, such as Vicky Polard, Fitcage, The Departed, Bloodhunter, Dystrophya, Proyecto Hombre, Offense, and Lou Quinse. So share this episode, support the bands, and remember those who made the things you love.  Open Metalcast Episode #107: Post-Turkey Sleep Disorder | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:55

It's the week after Thanksgiving here at OMC headquarters and we couldn't be happier to have yet-another-holiday in the rear-view mirror. Not that we didn't have fun with Thanksgiving, but the lead-up to getting things sorted meant this episode is dropping one week later than it should be. And if you're anything like us you're still recovering from day n+1 of leftovers. But never fear freedom-loving metalheads, because we've lined up some music to help ween you back from your turkey-induced comas and kick you back into high gear. And what a collection of music to give thanks for, including brand new music from Cloudkicker (apparently not content with only releasing the brilliant Live with Intronaut album last week). This episode also features music from 100 Veces Fauna, Mursa, Nightosaur, Show Me a Dinosaur, Underthals, remastered Oak Pantheon, and the triumphant return of Drakum. Shownotes after the break: * (00:12) 100 VECES FAUNA – Carne Viva by 100 Veces Fauna from 100 VECES FAUNA (BY-NC-ND) * (03:57) Eve of the Goat/Day of the Goat by Mursa from MRSA (BY-NC) * (12:24) The Shocking Tale of Wilson Pinnafore by Nightosaur from Set Fire To The Mountain (BY-NC-ND) * (19:19) Sky Guide by Cloudkicker from Little Histories (BY) * (22:02) Drawing The Line by Show Me A Dinosaur from Dust (BY-NC-ND) * (29:40) Qualm by Underthals from Sand Whale EP (BY-NC-ND) * (35:03) Architect of the Void Pt II by Oak Pantheon from The Void (2014 Remaster) (BY-NC-ND) * (43:11) Torches Will Rise Again by Drakum from Torches Will Rise Again (BY-NC-SA) Please support the bands in this show!
