Episode 284: For Their Own Good | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

It seems I managed to pull in articles that got everyone's blood boiling! This episode has to be one of the more lively in some time, and not because of bad jokes. All of our callers and a few folks in SecondLife had thoughts to add to the conversation In our next episode we'll be talking with Mike Garcar, a Field Director for the Ohio College Republican Federation, Romney campaign worker and upcoming author. We'll be talking about his observations about engaging the millennial generation. Click Here to download the podcast, or listen using the Blubrry player (the blue ball on the right of the page).  Episode 283: Disagreeable Listeners | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This was quite the interesting show, with an opening conversation about Memorial Day followed by a very good discussion on the subject. Some of the conversation got rather interesting and there were some good points brought up. There are also some examples where the group didn't agree, yet we managed to follow our own rule of disagreeing without being disagreeable. As we discussed during that opening segment, I hope everyone has/had a safe and happy Memorial Day!  Episode 282: Making Life Difficult | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Wow, talking about making life difficult indeed! First, there have been technical issues with TalkShoe for the last two weeks. Then we throw in my own verbal malfunctions during the show, and the subjects and excellent turnout made this an episode that was fun and frustrating at the same time. We had great input from all of our guests, both in TalkShoe and in Second Life. If you haven't been able to make a live recording session, I'd invite you to do so! We did work very hard to keep the conversation civil. Sometimes we didn't stay on the list of articles but that just added spice to the conversation. Definitely worth the listen. One administrative note. Due to technical confusion, last week's episode did not make it to the Red State Talk Radio network on time. It will be running until Wednesday, when this episode will replace it. We'll be back on schedule there starting with the next episode.  Episode 281: Following the Same Rules | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This episode turned out well despite TalkShoe's best efforts! There were some technical difficulties causing the live recording to be delayed and I had limited control until the end of the show. Regardless, we had a good time talking about the popular issues from the past week from a different angle. Don't forget to check out the articles for this episode and add your comments to our conversation. Even if we didn't talk about an article we'd like to hear your thoughts on something from the list!  Episode 280: Communication Necessities | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Administrative comment: Continually apologizing for the late posts and then posting late the following week is getting a tad repetitive, so I'll explain rather than make excuses. There are some big things being planned for the podcast as well as a new endeavor. Nothing is going to change for quite some time (in Internet terms of time, at least), however if you're a blogger, podcaster or vodcaster that is interested in hearing more about the rumblings of an interesting project, contact me directly. This week we talked about the things necessary for a good, civil conversation. We also identified the real definition of the concept and also what it is not. Civility does not equate with watering down or with changing a message just to make it palatable to a wide audience. If you want to hear more, listen to the podcast!  Episode 279: Are They Even Trying? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Another week, another late posting for an episode... I'm working not to make a habit of this, sorry again. This episode was a lot of fun, especially when it came to the jokes. I'm pretty sure we haven't had this irreverent of an episode in quite some time! Ken wasn't with us but Larry stepped in quite well. We also had the chance to have a follow up conversation about home-schooling and some of the differences that were expressed between Larry and I. One of the great things about our show is the fact that we can disagree without being disagreeable and last week's episode left a something of a bitter taste that needed to be addressed.  Episode 278: Safety Precautions | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A bit late getting this episode posted to the website, sorry about that. It was a good conversation about the events in Boston, while working hard to discuss new items and not simply go on about the same issues everyone else had been talking about. There was quite the conversation about schooling, especially home schooling in light of some of the articles that have come out lately. Which camp do you fall in? Do you think parents should keep their kids in the system and fight the bureaucracy from within or pull their kids out and challenge the system on behalf of others?  Episode 277: Do You Hear What I Hear | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This episode introduces a slightly different format, with part of the intro moved to the ending which lets us get started much faster. It was a fun episode, though there are a couple of areas where I should have censored Shorahmin. We'll forgive him his BS lines... though the media is offered no similar reprieve. We've added Bitcoin donations for those that trade in that virtual currency. Click Here to download the podcast, or listen using the Blubrry player (the blue ball on the right of the page).  Episode 276: Less than Ideal | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

We had a fun time talking about the things that are less than ideal in the country. It was an interesting conversation with some side-tangents aside from my frantic attempts to keep on subject.  Episode 275: Direct Your Attention | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Please ignore the man behind the curtain! Actually, with the theme of "look over there" firmly embedded, we managed to make it through most of the articles and ended up closing on a bit of a different note than originally expected.  Episode 270: Behind the Green Curtain | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Well, as promised there are a lot of things out there that are being used to distract and misdirect the American public that we talked about in this episode. We had quite a time breaking things down and pulling them apart. Our Zazzle store is open to the public! Support the podcast and enjoy a hot beverage of your choice at the same time.  Episode 269: It Drives Me Crazy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The premise for this episode started with a book about pollution that flowed with waste about fecal matter and other things. From there, the show's content hilighted some examples of the mental sludge that passes for policy and position. We've added a link to our new Zazzle.com store to the website.
