Today I want to share with you the following email I received from a pro-abortion person who visited the Priests for Life website and saw the pictures of aborted babies.

When Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego, the Aztec people among whom he lived were practicing human sacrifice, because their beliefs were based on despair.

The Immaculate Conception is about Christ's power to destroy sin. Mary was sinless from the first moment of her life not because she did not need a Savior, but because she was so close to the Savior.

"Let's just agree to disagree." Our response? We have the greatest respect for those who disagree with us. But when victims are oppressed, we don't sit back and "agree to disagree" with the oppressor.

"Legislators should not be practicing medicine." Our response? We're not asking you to practice medicine, but to prevent the abuse of medicine.

Pro-abortion politicians will often say to us, "The government should not be involved in such a personal decision as abortion." Our response? The government got "too involved" in abortion when it claimed to have the authority to deprive some human beings of their right to life.

At the recent UN meeting of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the Russian Federation delegation highlighted a new two-year program of the Ministry of Health that focused on the prevention of abortion and the protection of life. The delegation was pleased to report to the committee that for the first time in decades, the birth rate was now exceeding the abortion rate and that the “declining number of abortions was also decreasing women’s mortality rates after birth or abortion.”

In nineteen ninety one, there were over twenty one hundred abortion mills in the United States. Today, there are seven hundred and ten. In other words, in that time, two thirds of the killing centers have closed and have not re-opened.

As part of the Freedom Rides for the Unborn, Priests for Life has launched the Ten Steps to End Abortion initiative.
