He is often requested to lead Praise and Worship workshops as well as conduct choir workshops.In addition to working on his own long-awaited recording. Josh provides vocal coaching services, has appeared as a featured lead vocalist on projects, including most recently the live recording of Anthony McBeth and the United Praise Chorale (Houston, Texas), and has recorded as well as arranged background vocals for several other projects.Make no mistake about it: Josh Hurt is on the move, and he is not looking back. Since the very first time he heard Kim Burrell’s voice at the COGIC AIM Convention, it was clear to Josh that he wanted to be a singer and inspire others as he was likewise inspired that evening. BioFrom an early age, Dallas-native IMAJ knew he was destined to make a musical impact on the world.Born LaDarrion Darnell and the oldest of six kids, IMAJ began honing his craft at the age of 12.The multitalented threat was exposed to soul music often when going to church with his grandfather.Sharing a bed and a bedroom with his younger brother, he used music as an escape. He would sing to himself self and write lyrics about how he was feeling. His inspiration comes from the likes of Michael Jackson, Static Major, and Tank. While many high caliber acts can be found within its city limits, one group has piqued the interest of many. They are known as the World Rejects.The World Rejects, then an eight-member group, set their city ablaze in 2013 with release of their first mixtape “Reject Familia.” The project garnered a massive wave of grassroots support which helped the group win NGEN Radio’s “Big Break” contest, securing a spot to open for Andy Mineo at Houston’s popular Discovery Green venue. The World Rejects followed up with tour stops in Dallas, Midland/Odessa, and Austin where the group was selected to perform at the acclaimed SXSW Kingdom Experience. Members’ Phyre and Adrian Angelo have since released solo projects, both curated by BeatKaso, which have been well received by their loyal fan base. The World Reject’s roster today is much leaner, respectively, and consists of Phyre, BeatKaso, and Adrian Angelo. Phyre’s gritty and stout vocals have been a trademark for the group.
