www.GoodMorningGwinnett.com A group of Georgia lawmakers has filed legislation to block critical race theory from being taught in public schools.The theory is centered around the idea that race is a social construct used to oppress people of color. It was developed by legal scholars in the late 1970s and 1980s and concludes racism in America is systemic. It gained new notoriety in response to the 1619 Project, a New York Times multimedia piece that connects slavery to capitalism.Rep. Brad Thomas, R-Holly Springs, the lead sponsor of the bill said the theory is divisive."As progressives continue to push their anti-American, 'woke' agenda, parents throughout this state have also woken up to the reality that divisive ideologies, such as critical race theory and the 1619 Project, are being forced on our children by rogue teachers and radical school boards," Thomas said.SOURCE: www.GwinnettDailyPost.com

She is the first Black woman to serve as chair. Johnson holds a doctorate in education and has worked as an artist, educator and entrepreneur, according to the district website.When she was elected to the board, Johnson said she wanted to hire more bilingual teachers, increase diversity in the curriculum and expand early education. Before when you went for a procedure you would pay a copay if you had one. If you had a deductible you would be billed for that amount at a later date, well that is a thing of the past. When you go for a procedure now, be prepared to pay the deductible amount on that same day or you won't be allowed to get the procedure.

Michael Bongiovanni had pulled Hollins over for a license plate issue, and shortly after Hollins exited the car with his hands up, the sergeant punched him in the face, bystander video showed. The decision to cancel the parade is two-fold. In efforts to honor the wishes of the King family, the celebration could not take place without the inclusion of Voting Rights legislation.
