One main change is the way patients are billed for outpatient procedures. Before when you went for a procedure you would pay a copay if you had one. If you had a deductible you would be billed for that amount at a later date, well that is a thing of the past. When you go for a procedure now, be prepared to pay the deductible amount on that same day or you won't be allowed to get the procedure.
