The third exam is approaching and the team takes a break from cramming to talk about how they are feeling about their first mini organ system exam. Chris also tests out a new segment for the podcast, “Words we don’t know, but probably should.”

The good guys lost in football and it has been a weekend of disappointment for the whole team. (And by the whole team, I mean everyone excluding Chris and Quinn) This week they are joined again by Erik and they share their thoughts about how the new semester is going in mini-organ systems. The courses are short, the organs aren’t mini.

Adapting to med school can be tough; but adapting to med school AND a new state is even tougher. On this podcast, we talk with some out-of-state med students and discuss the obstacles that these students face that in-state students don't need to consider.

It’s positivity week at the MD Odyssey, no matter how forced it sounded. The team followed up on the eggs discussion from last week. (kidding) They did however, talk about the upcoming final exams and how they are dealing with the pressure of taking 3 exams over 2 days.

In this episode, some med students sit down and talk about the MCAT- the dreaded entrance exam for medical school. We provide strategies, advice, and recommendations on how to tackle this beast of an exam from many different perspective. Whether you are taking it for the first time, re-taking it, or are just want to learn more about the exam, this is a good episode for you.

Oh boy, what a week this was. It felt like the longest week the team had faced up till this point. They spend more time talking about sketchymicro and how they are using it to prepare for the upcoming exam. They talk about eggs, eggs, and more eggs. Then, at the end, they all fall apart.

One of the College of Medicine staff, Jade, joins Chris and some other medical students to talk about women and diversity in medicine. They tell some stories about the strides women have made breaking into a predominantly male field and how they feel about pursuing different specialties and dealing with the stereotypes that come along with them.
