Mark Darden dreamed of being an author since age eight. As a kid he developed a passion for comics while reading Mickey Mouse, Casper the Friendly Ghost, and Richie Rich. However, his parents forbid him from buying comics after his sister told them his copy of Batman 404 contained adult subject matter. At the time he didn't notice the comic's adult theme, he just saw Batman fighting to help a woman in trouble. Undeterred, he hid comics in his bedroom and read them in secret. To this day he is still an avid comic reader. With his first comic, When Claws Was Cool, Mark hopes to bridge the gap between adult humor and family entertainment, and to bring readers the same joy that comics brought him as a child. The comic's title is based upon an early comic story he wrote where a group of super-heroes hold spoof auditions to recruit a hero with claws. When Claw Were Cool has become a series of what-if scenarios characterized by events from Mark's life, childhood heroes, and social media influences. His main character Guano Guy, is a self-serving, self-promoter whose only real goal is to get rich selling his brand of Guano Guy products. For Guano being a superhero is the ultimate celebrity status and saving people is merely a means of establishing his brand. However, with his natural gift for harassing criminals, he has occasional moments of redemption and service to the greater good. Bryson JonSteele was born 18 January, 2011 in Florida, USA as the youngest of four boys. He began his career as a child model in 2012 working for Walt Disney Company, Mattel, and Party City. He also walked the runway for Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie Kids, Men's Wearhouse, OIFW, NYFW and Jos A Banks. Bryson appeared in many commercials for the Florida Department of Citrus, local Student educational promos, and several National Healthcare companies. At age 5, he was approached by a LA manager who discovered his social media accounts with interest. Soon after, his parents planned a trip to make the connection in person and let Bryson attend a LA film camp. He quickly discovered his love of acting and once home, was enrolled in several group-acting workshops. After several big auditions and callbacks, Bryson began consistent private coaching and showed major passion every time a small or big project came along. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Rod was attracted to words at an early age. His first book "The Boy Who Liked To Read" was created with construction paper and pencil in grade school. Later in life, Rod discovered comic books and in school he was immersed in creating his own comics. His senior year English teacher pulled him aside and told him "Give the comics a rest, write a short story." He listened, and the rest - as they say - is history. He got serious about writing when his son challenged him to write a story about him and his friends in some kind of adventure... "like The Goonies". That challenge became his 1st published novel - "The Juniors" and soon many more middle grade books were to follow.
