Graduation rates are really important because if the supply numbers aren't going down, the speed at which our profession needs to innovate and create new opportunities for graduates outside of retail, hospital, and residency needs to happen now. Brian Fung and others lead in the IT sector. Brandon Dyson and Eric Christianson lead in residency preparation as well as MPJE, NAPLEX, and board certification prep.  Over the last 4 years, PharmCAS colleges accepted 1000 more students as 1000 fewer applied.

Residency is tough, but is there an app for that? Yes! I talk with Sean Kane who has created a few apps that make things a lot easier for residents and he has some other resources for the NAPLEX and succeeding in the Top 200. He completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 and is a clinical professor at a COP.

Today I talked with Melissa Murer Corrigan about the Zada Cooper Leadership Symposium at the University of Iowa on May 4th 2019. https://pharmacy.uiowa.edu/leadership-symposium/ Melissa Murer Corrigan, is a fellow with both APhA and ASHP, is a leader in pharmacy, education, certification, and accreditation.  She served as the founding Executive Director and CEO of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board in Washington, D.C. and that organization certified more than 600,000 pharmacy technicians.

Kristen Butler is a P3 who took over the podcast today to interview Eddie Mueller. Eddie is a P3 student at Drake University who is your go-to man! He is the current president of the DRxUGS organization on Drake's campus. Eddie providers his insights on how to stay passionate, organized, and innovative as well as challenges and successes in recruiting for and keeping students engaged in their organizations.

Kristine is researching burnout and resiliency in the community-based setting and Shannon is researching the same from a health system perspective. In this second part, both discuss their paths.

He was recently at Pennsylvania's legislative day advocating for our profession.
