Here's some advice for the second day. What you are looking for is people you might know, because there are two piles, a big one with applicants they don't know and a little pile with people they do. Some get it all wrong thinking residency showcase is where you go and impress people. It's not that at all. It's finding a place where you belong. There's never been so much choice (4,000 spots) and so much competition with 8000 competitors . . . a good fit trumps another applicant with better stats but a bad fit. . . find your tribe and have fun!
