On this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: ONE: I’m sure you heard about the shooting in Philadelphia. Six officers shot during the incident. Protestors got together to back the felon, shooter. And the governor of Pennsylvania is now involved. What did the governor have to say about it? Did he point to massive drug problem in Philadelphia? Did he discuss the problem of career criminals like Maurice Hill? Did he mention how some people in the neighborhood were taunting and yelling and throwing things at police? Did he talk about the problem of violent crime in Philadelphia, most of spawned by drugs? No, we rolled right into gun control. He issued an executive order and called for the state assembly to in part pass new laws for safe gun storage requirements. So in other words, instead of addressing the issue of drugs and violent criminals, again we see an attack on law abiding gun owners. TWO: Buried in the news, there’s a lot of buzz about the economy. This is falling that’s rising, these are indicators of a looming recession. Lots of buzz about a recession. Since when did economists or the so-called experts have a crystal ball? But I do have one question: How can we have a recession and strong employment at the same time? THREE: The other story I want to talk about that I’m sure you heard exactly nothing about but it’s a very big story. A ransomware attack hit 23 local governments in Texas. We are totally reliant on these computer systems, networks and the electric that powers it all. What will happen if there’s a long term, large scale shut down and is anybody doing anything to prepare for it? So hit the play button!

Barbecues, swimming, picnics, parades, family get togethers. All things that are a regular occurrence on Memorial Day. Like a lot of holiday’s the meaning gets lost in the activities. What’s it really about? I guess you could say it’s a day of remembrance, but it’s also a day to give thanks. Thanks for what? Thanks for the 1.3 million service men and women, Marines, Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen, the 1.3 million warriors that have died defending this nation. 1.3 million. If those men and women stood shoulder to shoulder they’d span from New York City all the way to Richmond Virginia. 1.3 million, that’s the population of San Diego. Many of them are buried in Arlington National Cemetery. A cemetery that covers 624 acres. What’s the saying, "freedom isn’t free", and that’s the cost. 1.3 million. 624 acres.
