Tournament Day 1 recap, Ja Morant is the truth, the Sixers finally ran the "beat the Celtics" play, and how difficult is it to project an 18-year old for the next decade?
Trilly Siskel did another cinema, leading us to break down the all time box office numbers. Somehow, we transitioned from that to the life and times of Benedict Arnold before talking about basketball. I don't know why but that's what happened.
The New York Football Giants are on a mission to prove once and for all that it cannot possibly be this hard to build an NFL team. Odell to the Browns, Earl Thomas to the Ravens, Golden Tate to the Giants for some unknown reason. Every signing is broken down and mocked before some light basketballing is discussed. And by basketballing of course we mean the Ibaka-Chriss fight and the Westbrook v. State of Utah ongoing saga.
At long last, THE FAT MAN Fat Lever joins the program. As does the pride of Wyoming Theo Ratliff at the top of the show thanks to our pals at the NBRPA. After that, me and Withers ramble on for several uninterrupted hours to discuss Antonio Brown, NFL free agency, and the National Basketball Association. There was something else random that came up that I, for the life of me, cannot remember. Oh well, you'll hear it.
The Buffalo Bills. Lmao. The world can be so cruel.
The #TrillyLegends Tour continues as the legend Sam Perkins joins us from (00:02:24-00:15:29) with some swell stories from his time in the NBA to life in the here and now. Then from (00:16:43-04:05:05), Whiskers and the Mick Man's incessant ramblings ranging from the Lakers to the Celtics to the Bucks to the NFL combine to Brody Stevens go on seemingly for a lifetime. Then the legend Dale Ellis joins us from (04:09:47-04:17:50) to tell Tyler why Tennessee is better than Kentucky and how tennis taught him his demeanor on the basketball court.
March is upon us, so we enlisted good pals Grammy nominated legend Nipsey Hussle and Madea Family Funeral/How To Get Away With Murder star Rome Flynn to join us by ringing in the new month. This is the extended version.
For some reason, Withers and Coley go down a rabbit hole of the Billboard charts over the years and boy howdy does it go off the rails quickly and in a hurry. From a basketball sense, Lauri and LaVine bludgeoned the Celtics to a pulp. And what the friggin' heck are the Pelicans supposed to do with Anthony Davis for the rest of the season? Then we get into interviews from NBRPA All-Star weekend with our actual pals Nancy & Scott and new pal Matt to kick off the #TrillyLegends Tour (02:47:45 - 03:23:07) ...Also #LIEBERMAN2020.
Featuring the incomparable Marty Mush, the LEGENDARY Charles Oakley, future legend DeAndre Ayton, and Boston Celtics fan Dave Portnoy. Talking about Zion Williamson mostly and previewing the second half of the NBA season. Many thanks to the NBRPA and Footlocker for hooking it up down at All-Star weekend.
Two return guests and three new pals join today's episode covering a wide arrange of topics ranging from Tyler lowballing Kareem's memorabilia, us teaching Joe "Killer J" Harris how to win the three point contest, and Quavo rating Tyler's freestyle a 0/10. Thanks to our pals at the NBRPA for making it ALL happen... much more to come.
Nothing really more to say on the matter. We're in Charlotte for the All Star Game and we met Bill Russell, the greatest human who ever graced the planet with his presence.
NFL players are poors. NBA players, even bad ones, are not poors. At this, we laugh heartily. Celtics collapsed twice, Tyler laughs at Coley's pain. We debate Embiid vs. AD for first team All NBA. Will AD make any of the All NBA teams or will the writers hold his trade demand against him? It's tough to say at this point in time.
Giannis is the worst GM ever. Luckily for the Bucks he doesn't run their front office. The trade deadline has passed and we react to all the moves. The first ever All Star Draft aired and Silver's got some work to do. Then, Withers and the Mick Man watch the entire Lakers-Celtics game by accident. Yes, the entire game. Rajon Rondo murdered Coley in cold blood.
Elton Brand, under the cover of night, decided to upgrade his roster yet again by acquiring Tobias Harris. Pretty good. Other than that, Dana comes on to try and defend his wild antics over the past few months. And the Super Bowl was discussed in short at a point in time. Sorry it's a day late but you're also welcome cause if it dropped on time this Tobias news wouldn't be in the mix.
Kristaps Porzingis has been traded to the Mavericks. Why? We really have no idea. But the Knicks did a Knicks thing, so we discuss. There's also more Anthony Davis talk. Some Super Bowl insight. And a rant to start the show about how people are dumb.
