Surprise bonus episode! We are taking the week off because SALT is standing next to someone having a baby, and that felt like a lot for one week. However, we can still help you while you wash the dishes or pretend to answer emails at work. We sat down with a couple of friends and a Dungeon Master from a far away land to participate in a nerdly rite of passage last month. Our first D&D game! It was a blast, and we have some thoughts to share from a new player perspective. Scott, our DM, is joining us to share his love of this type of game and talk with actual knowledge. It’s really happening! Gible Community is coming, and it is less than a month away. Spring into Spring has gone, and Rivals’ Week is upon us! Weirdly, not a full week, but other than that, we do not have complanits for what is looking like a pretty good week of Pokemon GO. Did John Hanke show us a peek of the future when he Tweeted out an imagine of what looked like some AR Glasses? Was he trolling? How would this thing even work and when could we expect to get are hands on them are all question we do not know the answer to, but that never stops of from trying to speculate wildly. April showers bring May flowers and March events in Pokemon GO bring more Pokemon GO events in April. Niantic has been putting events out like they were all the Great Gatsby parties this pandemic shut down. We are staring into the code crystal ball and seeing some bright things in the future. It looks like we are about to expand on the Wayfarer system in a big way by introducing route creation. It’s events on events this week. Is it too many? Probably. Are we complaining? Only some of the time, and that seems to correlate directly to how good the events are. Also, the Pokemon Company announces the long awaited Gen 4 remakes and a brand we Pokemon game featuring an open world. What can these games learn from Pokemon GO?
