He will serve in this position through the 2016 Olympic Games. Gibbons was a four-time Iowa high school state wrestling champion for Waterloo Columbus and Ames High School. He was also a four-time All-American and an NCAA champion for Iowa State. The Gibbons family will receive the Family Legacy Award at the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa on June 7 in Waterloo.

Heading into his light heavyweight tournament final in Bellator on May 17, Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal talks about how much he still enjoys wrestling. Originally from Plano, Texas, Lawal was a late bloomer in the sport, eventually becoming a three-time Division II All-American at Central Oklahoma under coach David James. Lawal used his last remaining year of eligibility in 2003 and finished third at the NCAA Division I championships for Oklahoma State. Lawal would go on to win three U.S. Open Championships and make the U.S. World Team in 2005. After leaving wrestling after finishing second at the 2008 Olympic Trials, Lawal began an MMA career. He started out in Japan and competed in a few different promotions before landing in Bellator. He's now training with Ricardo Liborio at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Fla. He speaks highly of young up-and-coming Olympic hopefuls like Tyrell Fortune and talks about his admiration for some of freestyle wrestling's big names including Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Dake and David Taylor. Lawal speaks candidly about wrestling, the sport's fanbase and his personal goals in the rapidly growing world of MMA. Never one to hold back, Lawal speaks his mind. Coming out of Lyndhurst, N.J., as a high school senior, Donny Pritzlaff didn't picture Rutgers as a place he'd wind up. After finishing his career as a two-time NCAA champion and four-time All-American at Wisconsin, Pritzlaff's slow road back to New Jersey was put into motion. Pritzlaff recently returned to the Garden State, hired as the Associate Head Coach at Rutgers after coaching stops at Hofstra, Wisconsin and Michigan. Pritzlaff talks about his circuitous route back to New Jersey, the plans he and the coaching staff at Rutgers have as they move into the Big Ten and what fans can expect to see on the mats in New Jersey this coming season. Clemons was a first team All-American football player for the University of Iowa in 1971. He was drafted in the first round of the 1972 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears and went onto a six-year career as a safety. Clemons will play in the Dan Gable Celebrity Golf Tournament on Friday, June 6. Fay was a two-time All-American in wrestling for the University of Northern Iowa. He currently wrestles for the United States Army. Fay placed second at the U.S. Open in freestyle in the 154-pound weight class.

After a storied wrestling career that saw him win two NCAA Division I Championships at Lock Haven, Cary Kolat went on to make a U.S. Olympic Team and win two World medals. For the last four years, Kolat was an assistant coach at the University of North Carolina and served as the Associate Head Coach the past two years. But when the Division I head coaching jobs started opening up, Kolat decided it was time to move. But instead of going for open jobs in the Big Ten and Big 12, Kolat took the post at Campbell, a small university in Buies Creek, N.C., with very little wrestling tradition. Washington native Conner Hartmann became just the second All-American in Duke wrestling history after finishing fifth at 197 pounds at the 2014 NCAA Division I Championships in Oklahoma City. Hartmann also holds the distinction of being the highest placing unseeded wrestler in the event, which became even more notable because the tournament expanded seeding to 16 wrestlers per weight. Short Time's Jason Bryant talks with Hartmann about how he ended up at Duke, his run through the NCAA championships and how a tough weight class within the ACC prepared him for the postseason. Hartmann also addresses the question about his 2012-13 haircut, a red mullet. The red part was natural, but the hairstyle, not so much.
