Listen as we hear Derek explain the role of Jesus as “The Word of God.” Jesus is not just the spoken Word of God, but the whole mind and counsel of God. Listen in to hear Derek explain more fully.
Materialism, commercialism and self-indulgence during this season can take our focus away from Christ as the center of Christmas. This series will help us celebrate the birth of our Lord. Today Derek Prince examines Jesus’ role as the Prince of Peace. As you listen, invite the Prince of Peace into your heart and life, and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas!
Today, and throughout the week, we will be talking about the “Titles of Jesus.” Perhaps you have a problem or a need in your life today. God identifies Himself with His own persecuted people, including the nation of Israel. The way we deal with God’s people will be judged. “When we receive a righteous man, we receive a righteous man’s reward.”
Today Derek Prince explains that the way we treat a child is indicative of the way we treat God. In fact, God often disguises Himself in the weak, the unimpressive, the improbably or the unconventional. Remember to care for the children among us.
As you listen to Derek’s teaching today, you’ll hear about a certain disguise of God that He has used many times throughout history and continues to use today. Listen as this mystery behind God’s disguises is unlocked.
Such a rich teaching! Derek Prince reveals the most important disguise of God was when He came into the earth as a baby, Jesus of Nazareth. Consider that Jesus was born as a Child, but also given as a Son.
There are three reasons God often approaches us in a form that disguises His divinity. Listen to this revealing series by Derek Prince to discover God’s purposes behind the mystery of disguises. God wants us to desire Him apart from His power and blessing.
Jesus tells us the story about the son who turned his back on his father and home, took his inheritance, left his home and went out to waste it all. But did he find happiness and fulfillment? Quite the opposite. But repentance brought him back to his father’s loving arms.
God tells “all people everywhere to repent.” If that’s so, we need to listen instead of arguing with God. We need to repent of such “blind spots” as unforgiveness, which God calls “wickedness.” Another blind spot could be called sins of omission—those acts we know are the right things to do, yet have failed to accomplish.
Repentance must come first—before forgiveness of sins, before believing the good news of the gospel, and before water baptism. In fact, God commands all people everywhere to repent. Repentance is an inward decision followed by an outward change of life.
“We all, like sheep, have gone astray”—that’s why we all need to repent. We did not all commit murder or become drunk or committed adultery. But one thing we have in common: we all have gone our own way. For this we need to repent.
Repentance is an experience which we cannot get around and for which there is no substitute. And yet for all that, it’s an experience which is not understood by most people today and which is seldom explained by most preachers. Listen to Derek’s explanation today.
We are so blessed in this nation! This stirring message will help us become more aware of the wealth of spiritual knowledge available to us. There is no greater place to live than the United States of America, so, let’s be thankful every day we can call this “home.”
Thank God, as Derek Prince pointed out, this nation was founded by men of firm conviction in God and in the Scriptures. This classic teaching may give the Thanksgiving holiday a new meaning for you. From all of us here at DPM, Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!
