Kristi Cooper and Pilates enthusiasts from all over the world gathered for the fifth annual Pilates Memorial Day Celebration & International Congress in Mönchengladbach, Germany, birthplace of Joseph H. Pilates. This Congress pays homage to the creator of the Pilates Method of Body Conditioning, Joseph Pilates, and celebrates the international nature of Pilates with presenters from all around the world. The Congress venue, the beautiful Erholung palace, had a maximum capacity of 200 persons and so this year's Congress was intimate and fun. Kristi shares some of the highlights from her trip to this year's Congress in this week's podcast.

Beaming Kristi Cooper aboard the Starship Enterprise and back home was no easy feat, although it was a lot of fun and we wanted to share with you all how we created Star Trek Into Pilates. Pilates Day is an annual, international, community event celebrated on the first Saturday of May every year.

This year all submissions will be judged by a select panel of Distinguished Pilates instructors and their Top 10 will be put up on Pilates Anytime to be voted on by all of our members. The winner of the Competition will be flown to our studio in Carpinteria, California, just south of Santa Barbara, where they will film classes that will appear on Pilates Anytime. They will also be flown to the 2013 PMA Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they will also have a photo shoot with Pilates Style Magazine. We look forward to seeing all of the submissions this year and are excited to meet our Next Pilates Anytime Instructor. Submission acceptance will close at 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, June 2, 2013.
