While at the New York International Auto Show, Alan Taylor takes some time to interview some big names in the automotive industry. In this segment, Alan interviews Detlev Von Platen, the President and CEO of Porsche North America. Detlev tells us about the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 and which new features it comes with also make sure to ask Detlev what he drives, what drives him and who is hero is.
Alan Taylor sits down to visit with Jim Vurpillat, the Marketing Director for Cadillac, while at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. Jim tells us about the 2014 Cadillac ELR Electric Car Hybrid and the unveiling of the 3rd Generation Cadillac CTS.

We’re broadcasting live from the New York International Auto Show in this hour of The Drive with Alan Taylor. Alan kicks off this hour by talking with Saad Chehab, the CEO of Chrysler. Saad takes some time to tell us about the award they received during the show, how their sales are doing, and what’s to come next.
Saad Chehab, the CEO of Chrysler, tells us the story of how he gained interest in working with cars. Host Alan Taylor talks to Saad about what exactly it is that drives him. We dig a little deeper and find out that his father has had the most impact in his life, and Saad takes some time to tell us just why that is.
One of our sister show’s, Men’s Health Live, is also at the New York International Auto Show. Host Alan Taylor brings Gregg Stebben, Peter Moore, and Eric Adams from Men’s Health onto the show to talk about their experience during NYIAS. Eric tells us his thoughts on test driving the Tesla, which sparks a conversation about the 2014 Cadillac ELR hybrid that was featured at the show.
John Luft, the President and CEO of Shelby, stops by our booth to visit with Alan Taylor about Shelby’s releases during the 2013 New York International Auto Show. John talks about the excitement leading up the release of the 1,200 horsepower Shelby and how their real unveil was the 2014 Ford F150 Raptor.
We’ve kept John Luft around for another segment. John, the President and CEO of Shelby, tells us which Shelby’s he had to own. We take some time to learn more about John by finding out what drives him and who his heroes are.

We have an encore airing of The Drive with Alan Taylor for you this week! In this hour, we decided to take some time to talk with Spyker CEO Victor Muller. Victor, who is also the former CEO of Saab, tells us about Spyker and how it got started. We also take some time to talk about what drives Victor and who is heroes are. Steven Cole Smith comes in toward the end of the show to give us an update from his world in motor sports. We wrap up the show with Alan Taylor, Ed Justice Jr. and Dick Messer having a discussion about the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
Former chairman and CEO of SAAB, Victor Muller is now the CEO of Spyker and we’ve got him on the show. Victor talks a little about how he obtained Saab, it’s unfortunate bankruptcy and how he learned from the situation.
We’ve started off the hour by talking with Jim Owens of Shelby. Alan Taylor is currently test driving the 2013 Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe so Alan and Jim talk about the car and also the Shelby GT500. James talks about the production of the Shelby GT500 and how it came to be a high powered fuel efficient car.
Alan Taylor has co-host Ed Justice Jr. and special guest Victor Muller on the line to talk about Spyker cars. Victor Muller, the CEO and designer of Spyker cars, explains how the Spyker B6 Venator Concept includes designs similar to an aircraft.
