March 17: The spiritual analogy of the Shamrock was introduced by Saint Patrick in the year 387 where he taught that the three leaves of this plant represent the Christian Trinity; The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. In Unity metaphysics, the Holy Trinity is viewed as Mind – Idea - Expression.

March 10: Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity invited us to know that “All power has its birth in the silence,” not in force. Rev. Sky shared from his experience of two year’s practice of 24 hours of silence every Tuesday.

February 24 He who takes his teachings and applies them, increases his knowledge. The most challenging piece of the spiritual journey is the journey of 18 inches. Traveling the 18 inches between what we know in our heads to knowing and feeling it in our hearts where it matters the most. When we connect the two in the spirit of action, amazing things begin to happen.

February 17 Fasting is a practice to help us take charge of our life and connect spiritually in a very deep and meaningful way. In this talk, Rev. Sky discusses the ancient practice of fasting and provides recommendations.

February 10 For Valentine’s weekend, Rev Sky took us on a journey to discover the ‘sandwich of wholeness’ within ourselves and in our relationships. Within this ‘sandwich of wholeness’ there is the Beginning, our uteral existence that represents bliss. the Middle when we are seeking, and the End, where we return to God, which also represents bliss. The challenges come in the middle.

February 3: Our lives are filled with moments of endings and new beginnings virtually every minute. Rumi said the universe is reinvented every second. Rev Sky discussed how we may create new beginnings with grace, peace and joy.

January 27 Continue to do good until the heavens come down to you. Blessings come to those who persist in doing good. Rev. Sky took us on a journey into Genesis 32: 24-29 and the story of Jacob’s transformation that resulted in his name change to Israel, a name that translates into “God Wrestler”. What are some steps to be a true Spiritual Wrestler? Much in the way a physical wrestler prepares for his sport, Rev. Sky explains a few steps to get us on our way to be a effective “God Wrestler”.

January 20th In declaring the Year of Letting Go, Rev. Sky illustrated, just as with a balloon, it is in letting go that we can soar. Joseph Campbell said it this way: We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned so as to accept the life that is waiting for us.

January 13th Rev. Mindy created a diagram for the outworking of our ability to use the power of our imagination to co-create a magnificent future. The appearance of the space between where we are now and the fulfillment of our dreams can be called The Divine Divide. Our challenge in our humanness becomes how to bring our vision, our dreams, into our present experience.

January 6 Rev. Mindy Tucker and Margie Hyatt, Licensed Unity Teacher, gave us a glimpse of the rich cultural celebration of Kwanzaa and related the powerful foundation of Kwanzaa principles to Unity thought.

December 30: The rain clouds are returning to Awalau In the poetic Hawaiian language, this was said of anything or anyone returning to the source. In Hawaiian understanding, with no separation of daily life and things of the physical world from the spiritual world, the location of Awalau on Maui, where the clouds gathered up the mountains and returned rain, spoke to a return to purity and strength.

December 23 Metaphysically, the journey of the Wise Men bringing gifts honoring the birth of the Christ child is seen not only as an event 2,000 years ago, but also as the experience of the Christ consciousness awakening in us anew.

December 16 Rev. Sky gave us a glimpse of unique Christmas traditions from Mexico, Holland, Finland, the Philippines, Sweden and Africa to highlight how the Spirit of Christmas lives around the world. Even more than the translation of the Christmas traditions in various cultures, Rev. Sky offers steps and commitments to assess your own “Christmas culture” and add to or increase your enjoyment of the holy season.

December 9 Throughout history, there have been many messiahs who pointed the way so we could find our own higher consciousness. Not just the celebration of the birth of one such voice 2,000 years ago, Christmas is also the birth of that consciousness in us today.
